I have one, but I haven't done anything with it in awhile. When I was really into it, the one way I found to make the most money quick was to work with starbonds. If you know how the formula works it's easy to tell when a star's stock is going to rise or drop quickly. I remember I made a bunch of money once with Olivia Williams. Since the Sixth Sense she hadn't done many large films and when Below cashed out it knocked out Sixth Sense from her TAG, so her price dropped like a rock. So, anyway, I say trading starbonds is best. A lot of times you can find starbonds that are going to change price quickly that many people haven't found yet.

Just joined looks like fun. Wish they had something like this for sports, that was free.
Marq would be glad to start a league with ya. (I like to ask people before I just enter them in a league.)

i've played there for about 3 months.
i got my total up to 200% though options/funds and BIG movie stocks... come to think on it, most of my money has come from shrek... ie/ the shrek2 warrant, shrek3/4 moviestocks. i've stayed away from starbonds thus far. haven't figured them out as yet.

I played a few years ago, back when it was simpler and you could screw around with it for a few minutes a week. Now, you pretty much have to spend alot of time on it. Feels like more of a job than fun for me now. Besides, I know if I got hooked on it again, I'd spend HOURS a day on it!

I'm playing it for about half year know. I have about 12 milj. It's true you can make a lot of money with starbounds but I think you can make even more money by playing on the movies that are now in the box office.
The problem with movies in the box office is that you can lose so much money... Cool game, really addictive! |

I've been doing it semi-seriously for over two years. Once I figured out the Starbonds, that is when the portfolio really started jumping - until they reduced the maximum shares in the bonds. It still is the easiest money maker. (Check out HSBR.net to get a good feel on the movement of certain bonds.)
Early on you can make quick money with the options - pick the right underpriced one and you can make tons. The holiday/blockbuster warrants can make you good money, just go for the sure things. Final suggestion to start moving up quicker - figure out what to short. Then as they go down, cover and reshort them to pull out some cash so you can buy more stuff. Do this preferrably during the no commission period during the weekend. And don't be afraid to ride a stock/bond long term - but until you hit H$100m, make it less than half of your portfolio. And always click the "Need H$ Click Here" link. (Current net worth $389m)

I have never really figured out the starbonds. I made almost all my money (about H$50 million) from straight trading of movie stocks. I'll have to look into this starbond thing one of these days.
