Romeo and Juliet
the other day i was watching this movie with a couple of friends. its a great movie, and i cant believe they used the dialogue from the play.
their was one quote from the movie that got me though. i cant remember what it was sadly, and i've been looking all over for it. its Romeo speaking either to or about Juliet, and his love for her. i REALLY need this quote, and i guess the only was to figure it out is to read some quotes and see if any of them ring a bell. so if anyone knows any quotes, feel free to lend a helping hand and post them here. |

I'm guessing it was the Leo Dicaprio one...
I remember seeing the older one, made in the 70's maybe, in high school. Freshman year English. There's the shot where you see Juliet's breasts, and all of the guys about nearly fell out of their chairs. Hilarious.

My teacher then was probably 24, straight out of college... All of the guys loved her. After the breast scene she said "Come on guys, calm down... even though that will most likely be the last breast you see in quite a while."
Got a laugh out of us girls

had the same experience with my freshman year English...that's the Zeffirelli version from 1968.
which movie did you see? I was very surprised that the Baz Luhrmann R&J worked really well.

I remember the freshman year of English one.. we awatched it too haha... Gotta love that classic.. if only for the breasts...
I (surprisingly) really enjoyed the Baz Luhrmann one. It's a movie I wouldn't mind owning, so I could go back and watch it every few months. |

I saw that in school too. Have to say I was surprised to see bare tits being condoned in school. I only saw the Romeo + Juliet movie once, but I kind of liked it. Kind of cool to watch people speak in old english and shoot chrome plated handguns at each other.

Only it was made far more funny by the fact that my teacher was this little 4'11 woman who was really close to retirement, and she was just nuts. not to mention that she was shaped like a plumb and kind of waddled. When that scene came on, she did everything in her power to jump up and cover the screen, and she flailing around and was "No! No! Look Away! It's Naughty! NAUGHTY!!!" and we were all dying of laughter watching her. When she finally decided it was "safe" she grunted and kind of waddled back to her seat. Only to look back and see the BIG boob shot, which we all saw, too. ohh, good memories.
