Okay, my friend read a science fiction book series a long time ago, and he tells me its really good, but he can't remember the author, title, etc. All I know are a few things he can remember, please, if you have heard of something similar let me know.
here's what I (he) know(s)

-Main character he things is named angus, and he gets turned into a cyborg later in the book

-angus starts off as a pirate in an astroid field where they are mining, and finds a spacecraft where everone is dead except for 1 girl who he puts a chip in her brain that allows him to control her. he does nasty things to her.

- she (the girl) has this sickness so when she is on a ship that "jumps" she goes all crazy and stuff

I think there are quite a few books in the series (5 maybe)

I always skipped past Donaldson because the first covers I saw were for a fantasy series. I didn't know he did Sci-Fi.

Well, now I have something else to try out!
