Help me solve the mystery in Mystery Men

Me and my gf recently watched Mystery Men and when I pointed out that the car Casanova Frankenstein drove was a streched Corvertte, she told me that it could not be a Corvette because the hood just did not look like a Corvette hood. It's not worth re-renting the movie, but I could SWEAR that the car in the movie was a Corvette and that it had the Corvette logo, of the two flags. My gf claims that the Corvette logo is an eagle . So, could someone please clear up the mystery in the movie? Any input would be greatly appericiated! Thanks :-D

For another one of the vehicles in Mystery Men, the producers asked Petruccelli to design what could be referred to as "the ultimate '70s car." The result is the "Corvette Limousine," a 1976 special 22-foot stretch limo with black-shag carpeting and the ultimate disco bar.

"It was created by welding together two different Corvettes on a stock car frame," says Petruccelli. And while the car is completely functional, its turning radius leaves much to be desired.

That movie left me feeling sad and confused, but mostly confused.
