Riding Giants Question
My 4 year old son is really into surfing. He's quiet and can pay attention really well. I was thinking of taking him to a weekday afternoon showing of this movie.
I heard that the only reason that the movie is rated pg-13 is that their is an instance of strong language. Is this true? and when does it happen (during an interview with who?) Normally I would never take a little kid to a movie, but this movie theatre has a balcony that no one ever sits in and we probably won't bug anyone. If he isn't into it we'll just leave.

Saw this movie at a film festival and enjoyed it.
I think there was some swearing in it, but don't remember where exactly. The movie focuses on the evolution of big wave riding, so I don't remember anything else objectionable. Basically it boils down to the question, do you mind your kid hearing a few swear words in a movie that has no nudity or violence and is only about surfing? If I had kids I'd probably take them to the film without worry. But then again I don't have kids. |
