Anchorman -- Funniest movie so far this year?

I just saw Anchorman twice this weekend, and I laughed so hard both times. The only other funny movies so far this year have been Saved and Napoleon Dynamite, so there's only a small pool to pick from.

If you have seen it and want to share your favorite moment or line, please do so. Mine was the 'Tits McGee' part.

Well I sure think it was. Of course, being IN the TV news business, there was a lot of stuff that might have been funnier to me than to others. All I know is, our anchor is getting a lot of ribbing tomorrow!

Anchorman was definately the funniest movie i've ever seen in a theater. While it may have been partially 'theater-effect', it still had so many genuine laughs in such rapid succession i was about to bust a nut watching it. When I saw the "ever laugh so hard it hurts" thread in General Discussion, the first thing it made me think of was this movie. Still need to see it a second time though, and soon.

Favorite part: their conversation during the news credits

Oh man, we saw Anchorman last night and I did more laughing in an hour and a half than I have all year. That movie was non-stop hilarity (if that's a word). They had so many great scenes and lines that we repeated them all night.

Spoiler: I loved the scene where he tosses the burrito out the window, hits Jack Black on the motorcycle, and watches as Jack punts his dog over the bridge. I about split my sides. Holy hell that movie was funny.

It's Anchorman for me tomorrow night.

I really enjoyed all of the cameos, but Steve Carrell was the best.

This is definitely the funniest movie of the year. All night long, my friends and I were quoting the movie and laughing our asses off. Everyone should go see this movie, you'll have a great time.

I can't remember the last time I laughed at a movie from start to finish. Will Ferrell should win every Oscar for the next three years for this movie.
Spoiler: The All-Anchorman Battle Royale is the funniest scene ever committed to film.

That is my exact opinion of the film. When it first started out I was thinking that it was gonna suck. But then eventually hilarity ensues, and it never subsides. And the Jack Black part nearly literally had me in the floor, and I mean that totally sincerely. That immediately became one of my favorite movie moments of all time. I, like everyone else here, highly reccommend this movie, it's excellent.

"That smells like Bigfoot's dick!!" (second favorite part)

It's a pretty funny film, it has its moments. But I dunno, to me I just didn't think it was as funny or as hilarious as this thread makes it out to be.

Steve Carrell is great though.

hahaha this is one of those movies that you'll just be able to watch over and over and over and over again and not get sick of it.. like Office Space, Zoolander, and Pootie Tang.

Very good stuff.

I thought everyone but will did a great job. Ferrells character was ok, but I laughed at everyone else. Maybe they needed him to play off of, but to me he was not as good as hank the tank.

This is a classic for all time. The sheer randomness made for some hilarious moments. I hated Will Farrell when he first started on SNL, but man he has grown on me. He has had some of the best roles ever in recent memory. This one is right up there with Frank the Tank.

"LOUD NOISES!!!"

ROFL!

My BF and I went to see it last night and it was so funny. The kicker is that it had one of the most creative ways to say ridiculous that I've heard in real life actually on screen. I loved the Tits McGee part. And the convo during the credits.

"I love lamp. I LOVE LAMP" He plays an idiot so well. I really do admire those guys for being able to keep a straight face, especially while making fun of the whole homosocial scene.

I know I'm a bit late, but i only just managed to see Anchorman tonight.

Funiest. Movie. Evar!

This has got to be among the top five funniest movies ever. Will Farrell is the greatest comedy actor. His roles in Zoolander, Old School, A Night at the Roxbury, etc etc. are flawless.

I won't be forgetting Anchorman for a very, vey long time.

The 'musical' scene made one person in the audience wet herself. That's a sign of a good movie. Best use of a trident in a movie in the last 25 years.

A series of great comedic moments packed with a good amount of filler.

I preferred Dodgeball. But I'll certainly rent it at some point.

I watched this again tonight and you really do catch more than you do the first time.

Like when the characters are introduced and they get to Brick... notice he's putting MAYO in a TOASTER.

...or lines like

Bartender: "what the HELL are you doing?"
Burgendy: "I'm expressing my INNER ANGUISH through the majesty of SONG"

Lines like that.. I heard Will pretty much improvised the whole movie with lines like that. Brilliant man..

..or when Veronica calls him -

Ron: "...BAXTER? Is this you?! Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee."

Random lines like that is what makes this movie funny, although I do have to say Brick holds the crown in that area.

"Where'd you get YOUR clothes... the TOILET STORE?"
When talking about women - "I hear their menstrual blood attracts bears."
