Stranger in a Strange Land
 

Not being the most attentive reader, I finished <i>Stranger in a Strange Land</i> with several questions concerning the plot:

1. What happened to Archangel Foster? Did he really die or simply fake his own death?

2. Did Mike die (in normal human terms)? I was pretty sure that he did until the very end, when he was talking to the abovementioned Archangel Foster.

Ironically, I am rereading this right now.

1. Whoops, Mike killed Digby. Foster died earlier.
2. Mike did die in normal human terms. He was stoned to death and his (sparse) remains were eaten by his friends.

The "Old Ones" discussed throughout the book indicate a clear believe in life after death.

Foster is really dead.
Mike is really dead.

They are "angels" at the end. Afterlife clause or something.

Great book though. When I finish I, Robot again, I'll reread it.
