favourite cameos/guest stars?
seemed llike an interesting idea for a thread to discuss some of the best cameos and guest stars over the years and various mediums. Did a search first and found nothing specific like this.
Some of my personal picks to start with - Radio: 0) Andy Devine's frequent appearances during the Jack Benny 1936-37 season, usually for the hilarious 'Buck Benny' bits 1)Vincent Price appearing on the Johnny Dollar Show as himself circa 1957 or so. I would have to check my collection for the exact date and episode title, but it involved stolen artwork 2)Red Skelton on the Life of Riley as Clem Caddilehopper. Riley sets up his bosses nephew (Clem) for a date with his daughter Babs. I do not know the date off the top of my head, but heard that show once and would love to add it to my collection 3) edit: just remembered the 11 nov 1941 broadcast of The Fibber McGee and Molly Show with Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy. They were promoting 'Look Who's Laughing' which also starred Fibber and Molly AKA Jim and Marian Jordan. Films: 0) Bob Hope in Spies Like Us. The look of genuine surprise on Dan Akroyd's face is classic. 1) the 1953 Road to Bali - has Bob Crosby with one line, Humphrey Bogart, and Jane 'Boom-Boom' Russel just to name a few. 2) Bing Crosby as Harry the Executioner in the 1947 My favorite Brunette 3) Bing Crosby as the lucky suitor at the end of the 1943 Princess and the Pirate after Bob Hope goes through the entire film trying to win the girl

I thought it was really cool in the movie FairyTale: A True Story where one of the little girls in the movie is waiting for her father to come home from the war and in the end it turns out to be Spoiler: Mel Gibson. I just thought that was really cool. And really unexpected.

One of my favorite films that is rife with cameos is "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World".
Most notably Jerry Lewis, Jack Benny, and The Three Stooges.

For that small amount of the movie is why Goldmember is my favorite of the 3 movies. Danny DeVito flipping Austin off.... heheh.

I really enjoyed seeing Bruce Willis in Friends as a guest for a few episodes. There was great chemistry on the show, and it was actually a funny storyline. Not to mention he's HOT!

Speaking of cameos in Spiderman, I noticed in the credits Lucy Lawless (of Xena fame) is supposed to have a cameo in it where she is billed as the "punkrock girl", but I've never been able to spot her.
Did anyone else have any better luck spotting her?

I don't know about all-time favorites, but I recently saw a cameo that I really enjoyed.
Matt Damon in Eurotrip, it was a really funny bit. I recommend that movie. It's nothing spectacular, but it's worth your three bucks.

Stan Lee and Lou Ferrigno in The Hulk
Because the cameo of the two of them together was THE BEST PART OF THE MOVIE. /wants his freaking money back.

"So there I was... holy fuck, there I am!" One can't forget Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. I don't think I can remember all the cameos in that one. Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Rutger Hauer god there may have been more, but I'll have to watch it again.

Actually if you watch the extra's on the DVD it says that she didn't get billed for the movie and since the movie had very little budget George Clooney got her to do it without getting paid as well.
Atleast I'm pretty sure it said that in there. Granted her part in the movie wasn't exactly a cameo, she had a pretty major part in it. So I guess she doesn't really count in the standard sense of a cameo.

It wasn't funny, it wasn't amazing, but I'd have to say Stan Lee in any movie he's been in; Mallrats, Spider-Man, etc...
He's just my idol. Damn he's cool.

Although it is almost a parody of cameos - Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back has a bunch. The Van Der Beek and Biggs cameo is hilarious:
Biggs:I'm a teen idol, dammit! Don't you recognize me? Look at me. I'm the pie fucker.

Bob Saget in Half baked was hilarious.
Stan Lee in Spider Man and Spider Man 2 Stan Lee and Lou Ferigno in HULK Arnold in the Rundown. Just unexpected and funny. Brad Pitt on Friends was pretty funny. Sean Connery at the end of Prince of thieves was a great part. Would own if he made a cameo in King Arthur as he potrayed him in First Knight. But that seems wholy not an option.

One of my recent favorites has to be Matt Damon in Euro Trip. Totally unexpected, and he was great!
Oh yeah, and Bruce Campbell's cameos in almost all of Sam Raimi's films.
