Films that change your opinion on...
the genre that they are from. Lets say you hate slasher flicks but you watcha good one and then you say "Well, maybe I should give the others one a chance."
Honestly, I love any film if its good. Although I have always enjoyed romantic films (not to the extent of comedic or thrillers) I have never been a big fan of Hugh Grant... Last night I watched Love Actually and I have to say, I have never laugh so hard or (yes I am a man) even smiled so hard that I might cry when I watch a romantic film. Hugh Grant was hilarious. The film was filled with wit, romance, beauty and great acting. I have no felt so positive towards an english romantic comedy. Now I want to go rent other films similar to it. Do you have any films like that that changed your opinion on a certain genre of films?

I used to like Historical Dramas, then I saw "Gangs of New York."
What a peice of garbage. That's the death of that genre for me.

I'm pretty open minded, so there's not really a genre that I wouldn't watch, but yeah romantic comedies are probably the least watched by me. Although I did see "Fools Rush In" and I really liked that movie. It didn't make me run out and buy a box of kleenex and a Blockbuster card, but it was still suprisingly good.
