A little help here...

Hey guys and gals...

Well, I'm starting to write some sort of thing but I need a tad bit of help. I need information on one thing and I think that TFP heads is better then one.

the peice of info I'd like is great ways people have been killed/tourchered in films. Stuff that is common household kind of information. Memorable killings.

Thank you as always

Mel Gibson being tortured in Lethal Weapon comes to mind.
Mark Wahlberg in Three Kings.

Lebell 06-19-2004 11:20 AM

Mel Gibson as Max killing the last bad-guy in Mad Max.

(Set scene: Max makes Johnny the Boy handcuff his own ankle to a car wreck while he (Mel) sets up a lit lighter below a broken headlight which is rapidly filling with leaking gasoline)

Max: "The metal in those handcuffs is high carbon steel. It would take you 15 minutes to hack through it with this."

(gestures with a hacksaw)

Max: "If you're lucky, you can hack through your ankle in 5 minutes."

(throws hacksaw on ground and walks away)

(cut to scene of Max driving away with a "boom" and fireball rising behind him"

There was a western I saw a few years back named "The Man Called Noon".
It was based on a Louis L'Amour novel about a guy with amnesia that goes by the name of Noon.
In one scene, in the book and movie, he takes a rolled-up newspaper or mgazine and hits a man in the throat with a stabbing motion.
If I remember correctly, the guys' throat was crushed, killing him.

Stare At The Sun 06-19-2004 01:16 PM

Killed or tortured eh?

Braveheart, final scene
The Patriot when he goes ape and hacks the guy up w/ a hatchet
AHX- The "curb" scene
The boondock saints- The final courtroom scene
True Romance- The final scene
The Crow has some fun murders
Leon The professional- "For matilda" the final scene..

Need more?

The murders in the movie Seven

Scarface. With Pacino. Involving a Chainsaw. In a motel room shower. When a drug deal goes bad. Detached body parts. Blood all over the place. INTENSE.

I liked Titus with Anthony Hopkins. I am not crazy about the stylized interpretation of Shakespeare, but the murders were just freaking insane. Don't watch unless you like tongues, hands, rape, adultery, racism, or Goth-meat pie.

To start with....

The ear scene in Reservoir Dogs.
The ninja scene in Kill Bill 1.

Speaking of motel room showers, there's always the classic scene from Psycho involving the meeting between a man that likes to express his sartorial style a little differently, (and who happens to be very devoted to his mother), to a naked lady in the shower, and a knife. ;)

Then there is a movie called "The Pit and the Pendulum" with Lance Henriksen playing Torquemada during the Spanish Inquisition.

In it, he uses a huge blade in the shape of a half-moon attached to a pendulum that sweeps back and forth across a persons' stomach while they were bound and lying supine, with the expected result.
It was a pretty good film and a cult favorite if I recall correctly.

Of course, you don't usually find a big-ass pendulum with a blade attached to it in everyone's home. ;)

American history X - bite the curb heh

Casino - has stabbing with a pen and a head in a vice, i think its the right film :)

Ichi the Killer - theres a few in there, being a film about sadomasochism/mascochism a guy gets hung up on hooks through his back, gets spikes pressed through his head and boiling liquid poured onto his back. Also stars a guy whos mouth has been split open

Last Kiss Goodnight: the water wheel scene.

And for a killing scene who can forget the original Robocop. Murphy gets shot for life 5 minutes straight.

Or Single White Female, the dude from Wings gets killed by a shoe, to the eye.

skinnymofo 06-21-2004 12:02 AM

Mel Gibson in Brave heart (the end)
Gibson in Payback (the toe smashing scene)
The bruce willis movie "last man standing" theres shootings all over the place there
Gladiator- lots of places

bltzkriegmcanon 06-21-2004 06:12 AM

Come on guys! How bout the part in Pulp Fiction where Marsellus Wallace is getting fucked in the ass by the guys at the gun shop, while Butch is watching. That shit was pretty fucked up. Pretty damn tortuous if you ask me.

I thought the first post was going to be the ear scene

It's not from a movie.... well it's from a movie in my head.

I always prefer to see someone go out laughing so fill up their car with Nitrous-Oxide. seal all the doors and windows then remove the blocks (they are in neutral and the tranny's disabled.).

Watch as they drift down one of those long curvy mountain roads. Brakes have been drained and steering disabled.

When they crash they'll be out from the nitrous so they won't feel anything. And when the car drifts off and hits something it's so full of Nitrous it'll explode destroying any evidence of foul play.

Other than that there's a few Columbo's that were ingenious like hitting a man over the head with a block of ice in a pool.

tropple 06-21-2004 09:11 AM

And no one thinks about The Marathon Man?

Laurence Olivier takes off the faces of Dustin Hoffman's front teeth using a dental drill... Just a little at a time...

Man, that is torture.

Ichi the Killer is great. The end where he puts those spikes in his ears and there is no sound in the movie is a really memorable scene.

Nitrox 06-24-2004 10:09 AM

what about American Psycho?

Ripsaw 06-24-2004 11:28 AM

Rob Roy, final swordfight between Liam Neeson and Tim Roth.
Terminator 2: Judgement Day, T-100 sinking into the molten steel.
Grosse Pointe Blank, Dan Akroyd getting it in the head with a television set.

Kadath 06-24-2004 12:30 PM

Marathon Man is a great one, but how has no one listed the Hannibal movies? I did not see any but Silence of the Lambs out of squeamishness, but I know someone gets fed his own fucking brain in one of the other two.

frankgrimes 06-24-2004 08:09 PM

a lot of creepy stuff in this thread... anyway, a long time ago there was a very bad movie called "who is killing the great chefs of europe" i think it involved culinary themed murders. the one i remember was a duck press...

Seer666 06-24-2004 10:24 PM

I don't think this was in any movies or such, but, it is possible to make a man swallow hs own testical while it is still attached. Cut the sack open, and pull it out. The cord is long enough that it will make it all the up and then back down into his stomache. Make sure to pull all his teeth out fist, that way he can't bite the cord and has to feel it being digested.

also, not sure if this is true or not (never had a chance to test it), I've heard that 20,000 volts applied directly to the testicals makes them explode like cherri bombs. A bit tired right now, but I'm sure I can think of some more for you if you want once I get some sleep.

Speed_Gibson 06-24-2004 10:32 PM

a nasty way to die I have never seen shown in a book or film is intravenous injection of pure liquid nicotine directly into the bloodstream. Read somewhere that one drop will kill an average-sized adult in five minutes.

A mna nothing, one pure drop will kill a rihno. Literaly.

Oh yeah, another good one. Take an eye dropper and use it to put mercury in someones ear when they are sleeping on their side. Equalibriume gone, insanity, pain, then death. Fun for the whole family!!!

Harsh. Reminds me of "The Screaming Skull" (the story, not the loosed-related MST3K movie) where a person gets killed in her sleep when her husband pours liquid metal into her ear.

Vincent Price murdered Robert Morley by using Morley's two prize poodles through a pastry funnel.

The movie was THEATRE OF BLOOD (1973) - (Originally titled MUCH ADO ABOUT MURDER)

It was supposed to be the worst of his films, but I enjoyed the hell out of it.

H12 06-26-2004 09:05 PM

I have no real input, I just wanna say that I'm likely gonna have gruesome nightmares tonight.

fnaqzna 06-27-2004 09:36 AM

American History X... when Derek Vineyard (Edward Norton) tells the guy to put his teeth on the curb and then stomps on the back of his head.

There's also the scene in The Hitcher where the truck tears Jennifer Jason Leigh in two.
