Around the World in 80 days!
Well thinking about going to see this movie this weekend. I haven't heard one review about it as of yet but I love Jackie Chan movies and i'm hoping he's at least as good in this one as some of his past hong kong flicks. (Let's face it...his last few american ones I thought sucked)
Anybody see it yet? Any reviews? |

I'm really not a Jackie Chan fan. Correction- I'm not a fan of his movies. I have seen him interviewed and he seems to be a very personable guy. I know he works very hard on his movies doing all his own stunts but the whole comedy/martial arts combination doesn't do it for me. I'd much rather have my comedies as comedies and my martial arts movies as martial arts movies. With that said, I think this movie may be different because of the high dollar budget. I will rent it I'm sure when it is released to DVD.

Yeah. I'm not sure how it's going to be either. I'm currently wondering whether or not I'm going to see it in the theatre or wait for Netflix. I really do like Jackie Chan and he's a nice guy when you see him in interviews but sometimes when his fighting style gets all americanized....it's just not as good.

Im apprehensive at steve coogans role in this. I loved him in coogans run, im alan partridge, but his humour is awkward though very funny, i dont know how it will transfer to a mainstream role. He may of done another film where hes pulled it off, but the only film i can remember him in is 24 hour party people and he was the same sort of character as the TV shows. Jackie chans always good for the over the top martial arts and ill probs end up seeing it just to see what its like .
