I haven't seen it yet, I didn't know it was even out. Hell I haven't even gotten a copy of the manga yet. I'm so behind the times.

Hiya,
It isn't in general release in the US yet: http://www.moviecentre.net/upcomingm...review/368.php The official site says it will be release in the US on September 17. I'm hoping they're releaseing it someplace where I can see it. I can't wait...

Watched it at the Toronto Film Festival, and I think I loved it! Oshii did an amazing job with it. However, it was extremely heavy on the philosophy... Honestly, there was so much going on, and the visuals were so stunningly beautiful, that I can't wait until DVD to figure out for sure whether I loved it or not!

I just caught it on Monday night at the Camera 7 (it closes there on Thursday, Oct. 7). I had forgotten it took me half a dozen viewings of the first one to figure out what was going on. I guess I need to see Innocence at least five more times before I can comment intelligently on it.
I think one of the best parts is that the characters have aged between films. Cool little details like that make it a great movie.

I've heard it's as good as the original.
I didn't like the original as much as a lot of people. I thought it was supremely overrated. But it was good nonetheless!
