Canadians - zip.ca!
My fellow DVD watching, entertainment loving Canadians...
If you are like me, you've been green with envy over Americans and their precious Netflix... Great idea but they don't serve Canadians (curse the Gods of media licensing!). Be green no longer... We now have something like Netfllix... zip.ca. Same great idea only north of the border. (I am in no way endorsing their product I'm just passing the word on that is exists) |

tried the free one month trial but i live out west way too much time wasted in transit. right now zip.ca only has a single distribution centre serving a hugn country like canada.
this is compared to netflix which has at last count 23 different distribution centres and serving a population only 10 times bigger. i canceled leaving a note that i would retry when they got their act together and opened a western centre. they also had issues in that they showed a bunch of the anime/foreign/less mainstream films as available but they themselves hadnt even bought them. i remember have a queu 60 movies long and only getting a single dvd sent out for over a week. just so you know i do believe they are 3 other dvd online rentals places in canada that have be servicing this country for longer that zip.ca and some of them even rent game. albeit they have a limited selection of non mainstream films unlike zip(which is why i chose to try them.) |
