CHALLENGE: Identify a Looney Tunes quote

Identify the previous poster's Looney Tunes quote (who said it and in what situation) and then give your own favorite quote for the next poster to identify.

"Gangway! Gangway! One side! One side! Let a rabbit through!"

onetime2 05-03-2004 09:38 AM

Bugs Bunny in a theatre?

warrrreagl 05-05-2004 06:30 PM

Dang, I guess Looney Tunes are too ancient. Sorry, kids.

And the quote was from the episode where Bugs fell in love with the electronic bunny down at the dogtrack, and he was racing past the greyhounds to get to the little bunny. As he was speaking this line, he was lashing the dogs with a carrot.

*sniff* I'm too old, I guess.

Damn I should have got that... I just saw that one the other day...

"Arise! Sir Loin of Beef!"

onetime2 05-06-2004 06:05 AM

Alright, who said:

I gotta straighten this lad out. A thing like this could warp his mind for life.

Sounds like a thing Foghorn Leghorn would say when talking about one his little chick/chickenhawk friends. If Im right then pay attention to my quote. If not then forget about it. Who had this dialogue:

"After you"
"No, after you"
"No, no, no, I insist"
"Thankyo"

Those 2 little mole fuckers, I forget their names.

"Pure genius!"

They were called the Goofy Gophers, and although their names were never used in a cartoon, they were called Mac & Tosh. The kind of characters Fred Sanford would describe by doing that little wavy motion with his hand. :D

"Pure Genius" sounds a lot like Wile E. Coyote in his chatty, rabbit-hungry incarnation. If that's right, then...

"You'll swing for this, suh!"

bigcochino 05-06-2004 10:30 PM

Foghorn Leghorn? Teaching the chicken hawk kid to play baseball?

"Boy, I say boy! You bout as bright as a bowling ball!"

I know, it's easy but my fav.

:)

Foghorn Leghorn is a bit difficult for me to tolerate as it just Mel Blanc blatantly ripping off Kenny Delmar's Senator Claghorn character. From what I have read elsewhere, Delmar was not too pleased about that.Claghorn is probably my favourite resident from Allen's Alley.

the Looney Tunes line that frequently crosses my mind - 'What a maroon."

Bugs Bunny said that in more than one cartoon.

warrrreagl 05-07-2004 04:58 AM

*musically*
"Kill the wabbit! Kill the wabbit! Kill the wabbit! Kill the wabbit!"

bltzkriegmcanon 05-07-2004 05:32 AM

That's definitely Elmer Fudd in a recreation of Ride of The Valkeryes.

Charlatan 05-07-2004 07:06 AM

I'll ask again... who said:

"Arise! Sir Loin of Beef!"
