Man, I can't believe this thread isn't anymore popular than it is. Maybe it shouldn't just be a "post your links thread." I've been watching this series for no more than a month now, and I gotta say, this is by far the best damn anime I've ever seen. This definitely needs to be at the top of the threads! Every episode I watch shows that this anime has tremendous potential to make it over here in America. If ANYONE BUT Funimation or 4Kids get it, (aka Bandai) and has a voicework group like the Ocean Group do the dubbing for it, it will take off in America. Just leave the damn music alone!

Sounds good. I'll check out One Piece. Is One Piece in the same "genre" as Naruto though? Fighting, ninjutsu, etc., or is it something else altogether?

Naruto is definitely a good anime, but i just hate waiting for it every week. Eventually I forget about it and end up missing out on it for a few months, but then again it only takes about 1 hour to catch up on that lost month. I've only read the manga from narutofan.com since I've had horrible trouble trying to find the first episodes of Naruto and my connection is unbearably slow to dl movies.

well my internet is down for 10 days while they upgrade my speed. FINALLY took a year for SBC to get their remote server up. faster speed here i come... I"ll definitely check out the site you gave gohan.

Naruto and One Piece are my favorite animes, tho I agree that the Naruto Manga is generally better (but it has slowed down while the eps have sped up in terms of pacing) also the games are great! I work at an anime store (Otakuden in NYC) and these two are our most popular DVDs.

Ahhh, has anyone seen the latest episodes! Geez. We're getting to a really good story arc in the upcoming 10-15 episodes. I can't wait.

Im a big fan of naruto and one piece, though i do find the strenching of storylines over vast amounts of episodes irritating, while no where near as bad a DBZ, one piece especiaily can have quite long periods of not much advancing the plot.
Theres sites out tehre with all the one piece and naruto manga's translated and they are a good read. much better than the anime imo :) one piece seems a little more childish in parts, and gets more "silly" sometimes, some people like it, some people dont. Of course, both are aimed at japanese schoolkids, so dont expect any supermature themes or w/e ) I wanna get hold of some of the games, going over to japan next year, so should be all good. I was reading somewhere, that a american company has took on one piece, but from what i saw, they have ruined some of the main characters, sanji seems to have a lolipop instead of a cigerette etc, which doesnt bode well, but this is half remembered from months back, hopefully im wrong. anyway, i love em both, watch em when i can, i do recommend the manga's |
