Audible- Recommend an Audio Book
I am a subscriber to Audible's two books a month subscription and easily go through the two books a month. I drive a ton for my job and am always looking for something to keep me entertained on the road. Anybody out there a subscriber to audible or could recommend a good audio book?
My two recommendations to get things started: The Gunslinger series by Stephen King... Slow in parts, but over all a great listen with truly unique characters and very epic in scope. Spans the gambit of genres. and... Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hern... Another good fantasy/time-piece series, but this one set in Japan. This series is done by two narrators, a male and a female. The female narrator annoys the crap out of me, but the story is worth struggling through her half of the narration. |

Rainbow Six and Without Remorse by Clancy are both good. Read by the late David Dukes.
I think I may have to become a subscriber, I also have to drive a fair amount for my job and I really find that audio books get me through.

It's "The Dark Tower" series, not the "Gunslinger" series.....just to nitpick of course.
I've tried the books on tape thing in the car, and frankly I can't pay attention. I like listening to music because I can think about other things, and, more importantly, pay attention to the road. I think if I was listening to a really intense part of the book, I would miss my exit
