It looks like it will be a great flick

They used photocopies of the comic as the shooting script. Now THAT'S devotion to the material!

i'm glad that rodriguez is working right next to miller, but did they need to bring along josh hartnett? (more like josh hairnet, hah!)

Wow! What an awesome cast.
I hope Mickey Rourke has a decent part.

lol it's funny that you say that because the character they have him slated for is as bald as a cueball

I can't wait!

Rourke is perfect for Marv, I so hope they film in Black and White... with strong reds...

Looks like you can add Jessica Alba to that list. That's reason enough for me to see it:

Quote:

from TheMovieBox.net:

“Honey” star Jessica Alba is in final negotiations to join the ensemble cast of the Dimension Films crime drama "Sin City" for director Robert Rodriguez.

Combining storylines from three acclaimed comic books from writer-artist Frank Miller, “Sin City” is set in the world's grimiest, toughest town with the tales of vengeance and redemption.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rodriguez revealed that, in keeping with the style of the comic book, the film will be shot in black and white with some portions with color.

Comic book creator Miller will be co-directing with Rodriguez, where he will share producing duties with Rodriguez and wife, Elizabeth Avellan through their Troublemaker Studios label.

The ensemble cast includes Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jaime King, Brittany Murphy, Elijah Wood and Carla Gugino, where production started late last month at Rodriguez's studio facility in Austin, Texas.

You know, I did a thread on this some months back, no-one responded.

Thanks guys.

So it looks like they are blending the whole Sin City saga into one. shame, i kind of like the loose and ambiguous continuity between the novels... did 'That Yellow Bastard' pre-date or post-date 'Sin City', or both, etc.

hilbert25 04-27-2004 09:29 PM

But the novels were interconnected, and the first three were pretty obvious on their timeline.

Sounds like a helluva cast. But I am not too familar with the Sin City story. Anybody have any leads as to what it might look like?

read the graphic novels, they can more than likely be fond in a local comic shop, or even Barnes&Noble, Borders Books, or Amazon
