American Idol Voting

If you want to take their poll and view the results, go to the above link. I for one am sickened by "the People" and wish that the better singers were still on the show!

I don't watch American Idol, but I get to hear some of my friends bitch about how the best people are losing and the worst singers are winning.
That's an interesting article, thanks. Voting for the worst instead of the best is a great idea, as well.

I still don't buy that they're going by public votes. It's way too much of a coincidence that the end result always is the one that generates the most publicity or discussion around the water cooler the following day.

^Interesting -- and if true, then they should give her another chance. What's the difference if it goes one week longer?

I haven't watched the show this season (at least not after the cuts), but I imagine if this woman who got voted off is really that good, she will be able to land her own recording contract. She has had plenty of exposure by now. Its been my experience that people don't always vote for the best singer anyway. There are plenty of fat ugly people out there who can sing just fine. This show isn't about that, its about a total package and marketability.

I find this whole voting "controversy" a little bit staged by FOX. After all, they've never once released the voting results of any particular episode, so we always have to take their word for the outcomes each week anyway. So this week, they're still not going to release the complete results, but they're willing to tell us there were problems??
Sounds like a ratings ploy.

The votes went much better this week. Although for the first time I thought Fantasia deserved to be in the final three this week. She was pretty bad on Tuesday.

I love fantasia AND her rendition of Something To Talk About. When she sang that Summertime song I thought she was amazing. Her and LaToya had better be the last two. You can't say that any of the other three have better voices than those two; hmmm who knows... maybe it's just not your style of music or whatever, but I think they definately have powerful (and the best in the competition) voices.
