Favorite Sandler Film
Which one is yours, I'm leaning towards Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore/ Water Boy tied for second.
|
Punch Drunk Love.
Then probably Shakes the Clown |
None....I take that back, I enjoyed Punch Drunk Love.
|
His last one...ever.
|
The Wedding Singer was funny, but mostly just cause I grew up in the 80's and references make me laugh.
That and Drew Barrymore looked really hot in that film. |
*nods* I love the Wedding Singer. I'm a big 80s geek :D
I also liked Big Daddy. *sings the Kangaroo Song* |
Happy Gilmore is the best one and

Whats with the hate for ADAM? There must be some Sandler fans out there?
|
I really like Big Daddy, but generally speaking I'm not a huge Adam Sandler fan.
|
not the biggest fan, i think the waterboy sticks out in my mind because it's the one we used to watch at parties.
something about shouting "i've got a wuh-wuh-wuh-wooden spoon!" is fucking hilarious |
Billy Madison by far.
|
Billy madison.
I couldn't stand punch drunk love. Anger management was decent. 8 crazy nights was also decent. |

Just cuz he's the same character in every damn movie he is in?
EXCEPT Punch Drunk Love, where he actually had to ACT, which is why it's good. |

Big Daddy's the best |
Without a single shadow of a doubt Punch-Drunk Love.
Man! That was an absolutely incredible film! I don't really like any of his other ones, except Anger Management, which was ok. |
Blah, none of them.
|
That's so tough, I don't know- I guess Billy Madison is my fave. I also really like The Wedding Singer also, and then tying with that in second place is Anger Management.
|
I love Adam Sandler movies. There's something about his immature man/boy schtick that really appeals to me.
While I haven't seen them all, I have enjoyed all the ones I've seen (even Little Nicky). My favorite would have to be Waterboy. |
Airheads--although Buschemi[sp?] really ruled that one.
As for a pure Sandler vehicle [I really like him--I even thought Little Nicky was underated]I think it is a toss-up betweeen Happy Gilmore and The Waterboy. |
Happy Gilmore, and Punch Drunk Love.
|
Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore. Very tied with those.
His "stupid humor" was the best ever. I loved those certain scenes that make you go, "What in the HELL was that all about?!" So out of place, yet hilarious at the same time, for instance, Billy Madison calling up Steve Buscemi .. then he proceeds to put on lipstick. Brilliant! He got too serious after those movies.. something changed and he completely lost that certain zing. Can't put my finger on it as to exactly what it was. Punch Drunk Love was awesome from a non-comedic standpoint. Never really seen any Sandler movies after Waterboy, but I assume they're all the same and not as good as Billy/Happy. |
not that i'm a huge Sandler fan, but i'd have to say Happy Gilmore...
esp that scene where he's fighting that old guy... classic. |
Good stuff, I really love the scene in Billy Madison with the song for example "Don't I have a nice Rack?" very funny... I in HG when the clown spits the ball back out! FUNNY!
|
I'd probably go with Billy Madison, but then there's Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore and Bulletproof right up there.
|
see.. sandler decided to include "love" in his later movies as opposed to just getting laid in Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore.
Happy Gilmore is by far the best of all. there's something about the cheese |
Happy Gilmore or The Wedding Singer. I also thought 50 First Dates was a great movie.
|
Absolutely Billy Madison. I love the scenes with Chris Farley, especially.
"I'll turn this damn bus around...that'll ruin your PRECIOUS field trip pretty damn quick!" I imagine that Chris Farley would have caused the funniest scenes in Waterboy, and Wedding Singer, too, had he been alive. I wonder what parts they would have created for him. I didn't like Punch Drunk Love for the same reason I didn't like Lost in Translation, even though it is clearly Adam Sandler's best acting work. |
Billy Madison, hands down.
|
I don't think I could pick one favorite. All of his films are great, but I got a sick sense of humor like that. I would have to say Happy Gilmore, Wedding Singer, Billy Madison, Airheads, & 50 First Dates are all up on my top 100 movie list.
|
I was going to say "None at all. The man is an ass."
But... Punch Drunk Love was pretty cool. I like quirky movies. Mr Mephisto |
Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore, definitly. 50 First Dates was alright too, surprisingly.
|
Happy Gilmour

Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, and Wedding Singer are all tied in my mind.
|
I don't care much for idiot humor (I consider the Farrely brothers bad writers of drama), so most of Sandlers films are, well, wretched.
The Wedding Singer, though, I thought was really clever and witty, and 50 First Dates (which my wife dragged me to as part of her B-Day Present) had the potential to be good as well except for some really gratutitous vomit and sexual ambiguity jokes. As for the rest of them, watching Adam Sandler play a quirky but loveable moron is my idea of what might happen on the submarine to hell. |
I'd say Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore..
But I have yet to see Punch Drunk Love. |
Come on people, we have to take this to two pages, it will be my first! I don't really like the film Punch Drunk Love.
|
Im undecided between happy gilmore and big daddy. Both are really funny. I havn't seen punch drunk love. Eight crazy nights was also funny.
|
I hate Adam Sandler, but I hear Punch Drunk Love is good. So I'll say that's my favorite simply because I hate every other movie he's ever been in. :)
