A Select Few Upcoming Movie Trailers
Garfield
http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/garfield/large.html -They should have left it a cartoon, meh. Spider-man 2 http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_p...n_2/large.html -I know some people aren't, but I am really looking forward to this Godzilla - Original http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/godzilla.html -For all you retro movie buffs. Coincidentally, this also wins my award for dumbest trailer of all time. Troy http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/tro...ler/large.html -This just looks friggin amazing. Shaolin Soccer http://www.apple.com/trailers/mirama...ewingpage.html -Don't know what to think about this, but from the trailer, it has some potential. I seem to remember the last scene from the trailer going around the internet a while ago as one of those random videos you get once in a while. AVP http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/av...ler/large.html -Ho. Lee. Fuck. Yes!!!! I,Robot http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/i_...deo_large.html -Is it just me or does this look like a live action version of the Second Renaissance from the Animatrix? And last but not least... The Day After Tomorrow http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/da...ler/large.html -This looks very cool. Its nice that they are hopefully going to be raising awareness on global warming, and when you think about it, this movie could possibly sway the US election outcomes. Well, that's the list of movies I'm looking forward to, enjoy my picks.

I've already seen all those trailers, but thanks for the post
I, Robot looked good until it had the generic Will Smith character in it, again. AVP looks awesome. I'm seriously looking forward to it. The Spider-Man 2 trailer is awesome as always.

I didn't realized that they weren't following the I, Robot story at all! What the hell. It is one of the best sci-fi stories. There was no reason to change it into Robot Wars!

Concerning Troy: why is Brad Pitt talking in some sort of affected British accent? Very, very odd. Its not like many of know what type of accents the Troyilians talked with.

In the original story a robot (who you can't tell is a robot) teams with the Will Smith character to solve a crime that may have been committed by a robot. There is a lot of stuff about work and the perks you get (like an apartment and food credits!). There is no giant army of robots chasing the detectives. It looks like they took the idea of a robot commiting murder and that is about it.

Re: the I, Robot trailer and "3Laws", I found humorous Hollywood's need to shorten everything to a soundbyte.
Asimov's original 3 Laws of Robotics: 1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Regarding "I, Robot", one of the Slashdot guys (discussion here) had this interesting information:
