(Great episode!)

Roger Perry played Captain John Christopher.

In Return of the Jedi, at the celebration in the Ewok village after the defeat of the Emperor, what is one of the Ewoks using for a drum that is unusual?

Kadath 04-27-2004 04:06 PM

There is a whole drum section made of trooper helmets, if that is what you mean.

My mistake. The whole section, then.
So, yup, your turn, Kadath.:)

Kadath 04-28-2004 05:20 AM

Okay. How did the "Tom Baker" iteration of Doctor Who die?

Kadath 04-29-2004 08:00 AM

Okay, guess no one watches Dr. Who. He fell off a tower or something while struggling with The Master. Someone else?

BuddyHawks 04-29-2004 10:32 AM

What’s the name of the trader/smuggler captain in Star Trek whose schemes keep getting busted up by Kirk?

archer2371 04-29-2004 12:03 PM

Harry Mudd

Name in order (from left to right), the Force apparitions that Luke sees at the end of Return of the Jedi.

Fremen 04-29-2004 02:46 PM

Is it Obi-wan, Yoda, then Anakin?

Kadath 04-29-2004 07:31 PM

Yes. Yoda is standing on the railing, which is a stupid visual cheat to employ; he's a Jedi, he can levitate if you want him at the same height as humans.

That's true. I'm surprised they didn't add it into the SE version.

In the Invisible Man sci-fi series, where did they get the original Quicksilver gland from that they put into Darien Fawkes' brain?

Moobie 04-30-2004 10:57 AM

Well, it could be one of two answers: originally his brother made it, but it was put in Simon Cole first. Then they killed him and removed it and put it into Darien.

What's the secret ingredient in Richard Pryor's version of kryptonite that makes Superman evil?

flagpole 04-30-2004 03:54 PM

Tar

What are the odds of Luke and Han surviving outside on Hoth during the night?

Kadath 05-01-2004 01:44 PM

725 to 1, although R2 has been known to make mistakes...from time to time.
Star Wars trivia like that ain't even a challenge for a nerd like myself.

Uh...What happens to Wesley Crusher towards the end of ST:NG?

He quits Star Fleet Academy and joins the Traveler to learn about exploring other dimensions, time, speed, and all that good garbage. Becomes sort of an ascended being, in other words.

In the movie Time After Time, what rather dumb pseudonym does H.G. Wells use when contacting the police in 1980s San Francisco?

PredeconInferno 05-02-2004 08:54 PM

Well, it's been 24 hours at least so I'll come up with a new question:

In the Star Wars Universe, who commanded the emperor's flag ship "Executor?"

Kadath 05-03-2004 04:50 AM

Admiral Thrawn?

PredeconInferno 05-04-2004 05:57 PM

Nope, he wasn't around at this point.

Answer: Admiral Piett (when it was destroyed)

Anyone want to come up with a new question?

primal 05-04-2004 07:20 PM

Who was the first character to speak James T. Kirk's middle name?

Would that be Khan Noonien Singh?

If so:

In Dune, what are the Fremens' knives made from, and what happens to them if in prolonged contact with a person they aren't fixed to?

No, it wasn't Khan.

Kadath 05-05-2004 09:48 AM

The Chief of Staff in Star Trek VI? The fucker who quotes Shakespeare every five seconds? General Chang?

Yes, it was General Chang. Kinda strange that it took till Star Trek VI for someone to say it. Ok, your turn for a question Kadath.

Kadath 05-05-2004 11:06 AM

This is a Star Wars Extended Universe question, so it might very well go unanswered.

Name the four members of next generation of Skywalker children.

PredeconInferno 05-05-2004 12:47 PM

Well, this could potentially be confusing, but I'm going to give it a go:

Jacen, Jaina, Anakin, Ben

My question:
What was the name of Darth Vader's Star Destroyer BEFORE Executor was built?

flagpole 05-06-2004 07:31 AM

was it the Devastator?

If it was, i'll use Fremens question, since i cant think of any others:

pocon1 05-06-2004 09:38 AM

Fremen's Question:

The crysknife is made from the tooth of the shai-hulud, or sandworm. they disintegrate when not near someone.

flagpole 05-07-2004 09:56 AM

you need to ask a question pocon1 :)

pocon1 05-08-2004 09:02 PM

I know, But I cannot think of a question that would challenge you geeks.

pocon1 05-08-2004 09:29 PM

Ok, how about amazing stories.
The only episode I remember was directed and written by Steven Speilberg. In it, a bomber during ww2 loses its landing gear. If it crash lands, the gunner in the undercarriage bubble will be crushed. How does he survive?

Rodney 05-08-2004 09:45 PM

I think that the plane grows magic cartoony-looking anding gear after one of the crewmen on the plane draws them. After the plane lands, they have time enough to get the gunner out before the landing gear evaporate.

Here's an easy one: What's the name of the newspaper that most everybody reads on Babylon 5?

PredeconInferno 05-09-2004 06:37 PM

It wasn't Devastator, Flagpole, it was the Death's Head

Gah! I should know the B5 question 'cause I own the first two seasons.... all mad now.

Rodney 05-11-2004 03:33 PM

Okay, here's another one. In the first two Alien moves, what's the name of Ripley's cat?

Kadath 05-11-2004 06:27 PM

Jonesy.
"And you, you little shit, this time you're staying here." -- Ripley, Aliens

In The Fifth Element how many different people show up to claim Korben Dallas' tickets to Fhloston Paradise? Name them.

Moobie 05-12-2004 11:41 AM

Three... the little monk dude with the devo hat, the Mangalor (with the bald chick), and Zorg's assistant (wasn't he a DJ or something?)

In the movie Explorers, who played the geeky scientist kid?

In Starship Troopers, why does Johnny Rico get 10 lashes?

primal 05-12-2004 09:05 PM

He got 10 lashes for ordering a trooper to remove his helmet during a live fire training exercise.

Name three characters played by Jeffery Combs on Star Trek.

Rodney 05-12-2004 10:09 PM

Weyoun (DS 9), Shran (Enterprise), and Brunt (DS 9).

Since we're on Star Trek: name two Star Trek characters who have made appearances in three different Trek series, not counting the animated series.

primal 05-12-2004 10:22 PM

Q in TNG, DS9, and Voy. Spock in TOS, TNG Unification and DS9 Trials and Tribulations.

Name 4 Galaxy Class starships.

Kadath 05-13-2004 06:58 AM

Enterprise, Yamato, Galaxy(duh), Odyssey.

I dunno. At what distance from the Rebel power generators on Hoth did the lead AT-AT fire and destroy them.

Plus Scotty and McCoy, in TOS, TNG (McCoy in the pilot, Scotty several seasons in), and DS9, in archival footage in the tribbles-revisited episode.
