Has anyone seen...?

I was just wondering if anyone had every seen the movies The Man from Snowy River and Romancing the Stone. They aren't new releases at all. I figure they were both made in the 80s. They aren't bad movies. In fact they are both two of my favorites. But most people I mention them to have never seen them and most have never heard of them. And the ones I show them to think they are well 80s movies that aren't really great or anything. But I think they aren't so bad and actually kind of good in their own 80s way.

So has anyone seen them? Has anyone heard of them? If you have seen them did you like them or not? And of course why or why not?

Romancing the Stone was great, haven't seen it in awhile, so don't know if it stood the test of time.

I've never heard of The Man from Snowy River, but I remember watching Romancing the Stone all the time when I was a kid. For some reason I just loved that movie, it's been awhile since I've seen it though.

The Man from Snowy River was pretty good. The sequel sucked. Same goes for the sequel to Romancing...

The Man From Snowy River is one of my favorite movies. Jim Craig was one of my favorite heroes as a kid.

saw them both in the eighties, and probably a couple of times since. romancing the stone, i think was alright for its time, but pretty standard hollywood fare. i'm not sure that it would seem so great now. i really liked the man from snowy river, its been a long time since i've seen it, but i recall the cinematography, the music and the scenery being great. i think its the better of the two movies. thanks for bringing them up, i havent thought about snowy river in a long time...

Seen them both, and you're right, they are both wonderful movies!

yeah they are both great and I think The Man from Snowy River was the better of the two. It's sequel wasn't that great. I have never seen the sequel to Romancing the Stone and I don't think I want to.

yes, i've seen them both, and i think they're both great films. romancing the stone got a little silly, esp in the sequel. but its still entertaining.

the man from snowy river is a classic Australian story. Eowyn, if you're interested you should check out some more work from AB 'Banjo' Patterson.

as for the movie... i think its great to check out how damn cute sigrid was back then.
