LOS ANGELES (AP) - George Wyle, who directed music for singers such as Andy Williams and wrote the "Gilligan's Island," theme song, has died. He was 87.

Wyle wrote the Christmas classic, "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," and more than 400 other songs.

What is your favorite "Gilligan's Island" memory?

I personally enjoyed the moment when the theme song changed from "The movie star....and the rest..."

to

"The movie star, the professor and Mary Ann..."

I always felt they were slighted early in the show's run. Then they went from black and white to color and the Professor and Mary Ann got their props and all the coconut pies they could eat.
