A question about Survivor (dental hygiene)
ON the last episode of Survior i saw, they played for a reward prize of toilteries: shampoo, toothpaste, soap, toilet, shower etc (don't worry, Australia is probably a wek behind, so i can't really spoil it )
Has anyone noticed, that even after 11 days or so, of not brushing their teeth, they still seem impecaably white, if not bleached? I know that don't eat a lot of food but you'd think after more than a week, they'd start deteriorating? After a night on the piss and i wake up without brushing my teeth the night before (too drunk), my teeth are in need of some attention; and that's only 12-16 hours or so. Can anyone explain this phenomena? Surely, the winner, after 40 days or whatever they do, will have some serious cavaties and other nasty diease and crap in their mouth? (i'll have to make sure i check!) or am i just wrong and blind Just that Colby looks like he could do a news story with a smile like that? |

well, when you consider that they're not eating much, their teeth probably don't need to be cleaned as much.

I am not an expert and am just speaking from random pieces of knowledge I think I know, so bear with me if I am completley off mark...
I don't think a month or two without brushing your teeth is going to make them start to deteriorate, especially as they aren't eating food that is high in sugars. They might get really bad breath, but I doubt the excursion is going to have much long term effect on their teeth. |
