Only 5 more Friends to go......:(
I started to cry a little bit.
This is the first and only show I have ever been in love with. Pheobe's wedding was beautiful, although it seemed to end rather quickly for me. A tear fell during the wedding and also at the thought that Friends is coming to an end after 7 seasons. We have the 1st & 2nd season DVD sets, working on the rest. I could never get tired of watching them. |

While I'm not a Friends fan, I was channel surfing last week and stopped when I saw Danny Devito dressed as the male "cop" stripper. Been a long time since I've laughed that hard at a sit-com!
"Yeah, real surprise. The hunk of beef has feelings." Hilarious!

I can understand people loving their sit-coms. I have to get my dose of Scrubs weekly, but I will hardly shed a tear when it's through.
I don't watch Friends religiously at all. I will catch an episode here and there with reruns. Some funny stuff here and there but it sure has seen better times. Kind of like ER- that's beat too. Can't wait until they decide to let that one go.

Now, back to the topic at hand. This show was funny from time to time but it's about time they ended it, it's been dragging on way too long in my opinion.

Thank god. Only four seasons too late. This is the most overrated crap of all time. I can't believe that NBC had the balls to call this drivel "the best sitcom ever."

The way to judge Sit-com funny is: if you were trapped in a room for 24 hours with only one show's complete DVD set, what show would it be ?
And that is why friends =! funny...

It's funny for what it is. What I had trouble believing, was that I had stopped watching for 4 years or so, started watching it again, and the characters hadn't changed one bit. 0 character arc whatsoever.

Yes!
Finally this piece of shit has ended. But the young minds that this show has popllted shall never be clensed. People should explore their sense of humor, not watch the friend style "this is a joke now laugh your head off with those dumpass audience laughters" kind of humor.

Jeez! Well, I'll stand up and be counted as a "friend" of Friends. I like the show, and have a bit of a thing for Lisa Kudrow. I hate to see it go, but as much as I hate to admit it, it is time to say goodbye.
Oh, and for the record, Sienfeld was funnier than hell. Hmmm...is hell funny, at all? Anyway, you know what I mean.

When I first saw this thread, my first thought was "I wonder which Friend was bumped off?" Guess Survivor (which I also don't watch) has permeated my thoughts.
I stopped watching about 7 years ago, but I'll probably TiVo the last episode, same as I did for Seinfeld.
