# of times you've been back to see a movie in theater?
Alright, how many times have you been back to see a movie in theater before?
My highest would be 5, and that recently broke my previous record of 4 (Bruce Almighty). The 5 would be The Lord of the Rings, ROTK. I saw it 4 times in our super-nice theater, and once in our older and smaller one. I think I could STILL go again! I've spent a total of $28.50 seeing it! (pathetic, I know ) So what's your limit on movies at the theater before you get sick of seeing them, or wasting money? I was wondering if anyone had seen a movie more than I had...?

Never for me as well, unless you count having to see Jedi twice as a 4 year-old 'cause I fell asleep and missed the end. I usually only hit the movies about once a month, and I like to see something different each time.

It'll probably go to Matrix Reloaded for me. I saw it 4 times in a regular theater and once in IMAX. I saw the first Matrix three times in a regular theater.
I think I saw X-Men 3 times as well, but only because a few friends wanted to see it that same weekend. I would have seen Matrix Revolutions more (saw it twice) but I seriously hit a dead spot in my wallet when it came out. -Lasereth

The only film I've been to see more than once is Love Actually, which I've seen three times now.
I didn't really like it much the first time round, but when you take a girl out and thats what she wants to see, there's not a lot you can do about it...

Wow, I've been to see a couple movies twice in the theater, most recently Kill Bill. But on the second trip to the theater it's always at the cheap theater for next to nothing. I try and wait until the movies come out at the cheap theaters in general cause these big theaters these days are getting out of hand with their pricing.
I could never fathom going back to the theater to spend $13 a shot to see the same flick. I mean there's so much else there to see. And Bruce Almighty?? man, I know each to their own and all that, but I wanted to get up and leave that movie the first time. I know a lot of people liked it though, so I should shut up.

I'm really, really cheap. It had better be a great movie to get me to go more than once. The exception to the rule was Phantom Menace, which I saw three times in the theater so I could see it with different groups of friends.
Other than that, I saw Finding Nemo twice in the theater, and probably one of the other Pixar flicks.

Movie I saw most in the theater was Rocky Horror Picture show. Back in early 80's. Lost count after about 60 times. It was more a social event than a movie though.
Blade Runner - 12 times The Crow - 6 times Original Star Wars - 8 times Original Indiana Jones - 6 times.

Jurassic Park. I saw that 8 times because my friend was obsessed with it.
On a side note, I've watched Hook on video over 100 times. My favorite movie.

Matrix Reloaded twice, The Phantom Menace twice, Pirates of the Carribean twice, not sure about anything else, nothing else pops into mind but maybe there's more. I don't think I've ever seen a movie in theatre more than two times, though.

Jerry McGuire 4 times, twice with the same girl, twice with different girls. Fast and Furious 2 times, each time with a different set of mates.

I saw the first Austin Powers like 10 times, and the first Matrix like 12 times. I took EVERYONE I knew to see that movie.
Last movie I saw more than once would have been Matrix Reloaded. I saw it twice. Since then, I've not had the time to see any movies in the theater unless I HAVE to see it. The last movie I even saw was ROTK, I believe. I can't think of a movie I've seen in theaters this year yet. |

I've got the DVD, and it is one of my favorites, but it's nowhere near as good as experiencing it in the theatre. Don't get strung out...by the way I look. Don't judge a book by its cover.

My top is 6, and that was for the Matrix. I saw it, then proceeded to bring everyone I knew to see it with me on the following trips. So if you didn't like Matrix, and wondered how the hell it did well enough to warrant 2 sequels, you can blame me
Previous record for me was 3 for both Braveheart and Pulp Fiction. For Braveheart, my SO at the time got board and we decided to get it on during the first viewing, so I had to go back and see it with some buddies a couple of times. As for Pulp Fiction, so many people said that they couldn't follow it, that I thought I had missed something on the first viewing. But after further review, they were just bone heads. |

Top would be 2/3 times. Jim Carrey's Liar Liar.
If we get into rentals then my top would be roughly guessing(just to name a few more notable ones): 10 - Willie Wonka And The Chocolate Factory 10 - Poltergeist(each one) 10 - E.T. 7 - Ace Ventura Pet Detective 5 - Nightmare On Elm Street(each one)

Seen lots of movies a couple times but record is 5X for The Return of the King. The last time I saw it was at a discount theater though and the quality of film and sound was pretty crappy so I think I'm done til the whole set comes out on DVD. As for Rocky Horror, which I also loved, their website shows a U.S. map that shows cities and times where you can still go see a midnite show. Sadly, there isn't one near me.

I saw Titanic three times.
But it played at our theatre for like MONTHS, and it's only a dollar or two per show.
