stonegrody 12-10-2004 11:35 AM

The soundtrack to "Garden State" captured the mood of the film very well. Excellent movie/Excellent soundtrack

BigGov 12-10-2004 12:56 PM

I have never bought a movie soundtrack before, but if I were to buy one I would purchase the soundtrack to Requiem for a Dream. Just one song. But it's so damn addicting.

HeAtHeN 12-10-2004 01:37 PM

The Crow - Best Soundtrack ever
Pulp Fiction - Is just so cool.
Singles - Crappy movie.... awesome soundtrack

Master_Shake 12-10-2004 02:14 PM

All the Tarantino soundtracks, of course.

The Hunt for Red October
Collateral
Twin Peaks (movie and television soundtracks)

And word, the Requiem for a Dream Sountrack is amazing.

Yeah I liked it for some reason. I guess because it was cheesy good to me like Fast Times and Breakfast club.

Cameron Crowe really studies how people act during that time period and it really reflects in his work.

I have very few soundtracks in my huge assortment of CDs, even though there are some great scores out there. But, I do listen to the soundtrack of the Last Temptation of Christ on a regular basis (but I'm a huge Peter Gabriel fan, anyway).

Blade Runner
The Matrix
Ravenous
Fellowship of the Ring

thespian86 12-13-2004 02:38 PM

High Fidelity and The Wedding Singer had great soundtracks. I also bought Spiderman two straight after the movie. The first sound track is horrible but the second soundtrack kick's serious ass. I forgot about Footloose, i was young when it came out but I still enjoy the movie... good times.

shadowalker 12-13-2004 03:28 PM

Nightmare before christmas
Phantom of the opera (after seeing it in london)
the fellowship of the ring
Star Wars IV V VI
and very few others.

Cycler 12-15-2004 06:58 PM

Batman, Grosse Point Blank, O Brother Where Art Thou, Blues Brothers, Mallrats, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks, Officespace, Pulp Fiction, Dazed and Confused, Kill Bill v-1, X-Files, and CSI #1.<p>Some are good others just for one or two songs.

mikeylips 12-15-2004 11:50 PM

Minority Report. John Williams can't be stopped.

thespian86 01-20-2005 09:39 AM

Garden state has now been added to my list. Amazing soundtrack.

woOt? 01-23-2005 05:10 PM

Garden state and Amelie are recent ones for me.

Hain 01-25-2005 07:47 PM

Countdown to the best I think are worthy of my ::cough cough:: legal ::cough:: collection:
5- Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (gotta love 80's movie that's a blatant rip off of Docotr Who)
4- Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 (excellent anime, a must see for cyber punk fans)
3- The Matrix Revolutions
2- The Punisher
And the best, you have to listen to it before you dis' it:
1- Joel Schumacher's film of Andrew Llyod Webber's The Phantom of the Opera
This was rock show pretending to be an opera and it was great.

tooblekane 01-27-2005 05:43 PM

garden state
forrest gump
the talented mr ripley

Val_1 01-29-2005 01:16 PM

Mojo compiled a list of the Top 100 Sntrks.

Many of them are older jazz sntrks, but they sure picked some great ones! Very, very surprised that Star Wars isn't on there.

degrawj 01-29-2005 08:11 PM

The Usual Suspects, Forest Gump, and probably a few others that i can't think of off the top of my head.

Justsomeguy 01-29-2005 11:22 PM

I really enjoyed part of Gladiator and Pirates of the Caribbean. Obviously, Zimmer did one and he was a major inlfuence in Kadelt's PotC.

I really reccommend Unearthed by E.S. Posthumus. I bought Minority Report and Spiderman CDs hoping to hear the wonderful music from the trailers. The music in those trailers were just great in my opinion. However, they were no where to be found on the soundtracks. Luckily, all of the tracks from the trailers can be found on the Unearthed CD.

radioguy 01-30-2005 03:51 AM

empire records - great stuff on the album but they left a lot of good stuff off the album.

ophelia783 01-30-2005 04:39 PM

Bodyguard
Aladdin
Pocahontas
Lion King
Beauty & The Beast
Dirty Dancing
A Walk To Remember
Clueless (Jill Sobule's "Supermodel" is priceless!!!)
And a few others which I cannot remember for the life of me
