I'm looking for the song which is played when duke wakes up with the us-flag over his face after the drug-filled night .

It's a kind of slow song sung by a woman.

nope it ain't that one... it's the one right when he wakes up with the flag over his face... right before, he was on this trip when all this richard nixon faces flew around him...

Just popped in my DVD to see if I knew it... I didn't, but I flipped over to Terry Gilliam's commentary track and he says "Tammy" by Debbie Reynolds.

You bet! Actually it had been a while since I checked out the commentaries on that DVD. As soon as I posted the answer I decided to listen to them again. It was fun. Actually... I think I'll go back to doing that now. I didn't finish earlier because I had some serious TV to watch.
