I went to his museum in St. Petersburg FLA. It was incredible. Make your way up there sometime, it will not disappoint.

I saw a travelling show about 4 years ago. Previously, I had thought Dali was just OK, since I had only seen reproductions in books and cheap posters. The real paintings are simply incredible.

yea.. dali is a crazy awesome surrealist painter.

Have any of you Dali fans seen Alfred Hitchcock's Spellbound? There is a dream sequence in the film designed by Dali which is pretty neat.

I wrote a report on Salvadore Dali for one of my art classes. :)

Warcloud has a track with that name, maybe Dali got it from there?

more likely the other way around. The Persistance of Memory was painted in 1931.

I love that picture. Dali is an awesome artist.

gilada 01-15-2004 02:33 PM

Not to boast, but I've got a Dali signed piece in my living room... it's one of his pieces from Dante's Inferno.

jujueye 01-15-2004 03:30 PM

Cool link. Go up a fe directories to see a larger list of artists, including "Rubens." Incidentally, I had no idea Paul Rubens did paintings.

My cousin has one, too. I can't remember which it is at the moment, but I'll check with him.

i weep that so little is the knowledge of art by some of the above posters, - no offense, but pick up an art book sometime.

Cynthetiq 01-16-2004 12:43 PM

i own a few dali artist proofs... not that particular one but I do own several.

The museum is wonderful. there are some of his large installations there. Go see when in FL
