Trailer Park Boys - Appreciation Thread

http://www.herald.ns.ca/stories/2003.../f218.raw.html I highly recommend that if you get a chance to see just one episode -that you view season 3 episode 3 titled If I Can't Smoke & Swear I'm Fucked. If you must have a synopsis then go here to read more about this particular episode. Overall, I think certain "moral" elements will object to this show... But imho that just makes it all the better. (Alas "Soap" was one of my all time favorite tv shows...) So common tfp... start downloading... Check it out -you can always delete it later. |

I've been a big fan of the show since I first saw the movie on Canadian cable a few years ago.
I love Julian and his rum and coke. He's never without one, even during a gun fight he's sippin on one.

Bump. Just watched season 1 and I love it . Seeing Julien always holding drink in his hand kills me , so does seeing that fat security guard always walking around without his shirt thinking he is badass.
Thanks for making me aware of this hidden gem, i guess you Canadians actually are good for something Last edited by Plan9Senior; 01-16-2004 at 06:14 PM.. |

Caught the first show of the new season last night and it was a good one. I love that they stay true to the roots of the show and don't change it up to make it big in the US.
Don't cry shitwolf.

So? Anyone watch the first episode of season 5? I won't ruin it for anyone but not a touch of the class and decorum of previous seasons is gone.
Gotta order my Sunnyvale Hockey Jersey online this week. Pure gold.

Thanks ben for the redirect. I do need to see this series in order. I've probably watched a dozen episodes in the last week, but they are from here or there and aren't in order. Still gold though. pure gold.

The cast came to my hometown to host a film festival. During the Gala I had to perform with a small ensemble cast that was featured in a local documentry about the arts scene in my town (i was currently touring Eastern Canada and Ontario with a production of Jason Robert Brown's Musical Songs For A New World; playing Man #2) When I finished belting out the last note of my solo, which was the last song featured in the performance, we bowed and went back stage to meet the actors who play Bubbles, Julian, Ricky, and Jim Lieghee (sp?). They stayed in character, asked me if I was a "fag", if that music was inspired by Rush (bubble's contribution), asked me if I had any weed on me and then attempted to fight each other. I just laughed my ass off. Julian, the actor who plays him atleast, used to work construction for my Step Father's branch of his company in Nova Scotia. It was grand. I brag when I'm with friends and land on the show.
