Kostya 07-26-2004 05:07 AM

Who are the potential mates for Selma that Homer considers before trying to set her up with Principal Skinner?

Kadath 07-26-2004 05:16 AM

I think Barney is one, and Apu.

slugo 07-26-2004 06:20 AM

i remember he did a robot like aiming thingy in his head, to every male he saw. one was smithers, either lenny or carl, mindy? , somene who was already married, then skinner.

i geuss that isn't enough to get it huh? :)

Kostya 07-27-2004 03:48 PM

Carl, Skinner and Apu are correct.

He also did a total stranger outside the Quik-e-Mart and the Laramie Man sign...

Derwood 08-02-2004 05:56 AM

Wow, 6 days without a post? We need to kick start this thread again (or else the lame ass "Friends" Trivia thread will catch up to us)

RedCometChar 08-02-2004 09:59 PM

This will not stand. Jumpstarting now, with a tough one:

Way back in "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire", what was the name of Barney's date at the dog track? (Only remember because she shares a name with another animated female.)

slugo 08-03-2004 08:48 AM

could it be wilma? just a guess from your hint, haven't seen that one in awhi;e

RedCometChar 08-03-2004 10:03 PM

I thought that one might be a little obscure. Her name was Daria.

A little easier Barney-themed one: What celebrity appears on Barney's Plow King ad?

Mr. Mojo 08-04-2004 09:02 AM

"A little easier Barney-themed one: What celebrity appears on Barney's Plow King ad?"

Linda Ronstadt - before she went and ate a whole cow.

Kadath 08-04-2004 05:05 PM

No foot longs.

What's the video game that Bart plays "with" Rodd and Todd during Maude's wake?

Val_1 08-06-2004 03:11 PM

Billy Grahm's Bible Blaster.

If you only wing the heathen, they become Unitarian.

Kostya 08-06-2004 06:22 PM

A left handed can opener....

And that left handed Boxter in the corner...

What do the KBBL DJ's offer Bart instead of an Elephant?

Val_1 08-06-2004 10:25 PM

What ventriloquist dummy gets the Krusty the Klown show cancelled?

Dwayne 08-07-2004 04:59 AM

A noble spirtit can do what to the smallest man?

Kostya 08-07-2004 06:44 PM

Embiggen...

Wait, that's not even a word...

Ok, new question.

Let me rephrase my earlier question more accurately.

After Bart asks for the Elephant and the DJ's can't find one, what are the two contingency joke prizes they offer him?

RedCometChar 08-08-2004 12:54 AM

I don't know if it counts as one or two, but they offer the $10,000 to Skinner to keep his pants around his ankles for the rest of the school year, or surgically turn him into a lobster-like creature. I'll wait for yea or nay.

Kostya 08-09-2004 04:34 AM

Correct...

'Ok ok, how about we use the money to surgically transform Skinner here into some kind of... lobster like creature?'

The origin of Zoidberg?

Anyhow ask.

Derwood 08-11-2004 05:35 AM

That's a trick question. No one knows what state Springfield is in.

slugo 08-11-2004 08:35 AM

actually, i think there is a springfield in every state:)

sorry couldn't resist

real question:
what actor played homer in the tv movie"Homer S., Portrait of an Ass-Grabber"?

shred_head 08-11-2004 09:09 AM

Dennis Franz, I believe that's correct.

What video game does Marge get for Bart instead of Bonestorm (which is what he wanted)?

Kostya 08-11-2004 05:27 PM

We've had this before, so I'll answer it again...

Lee Carvalo's Putting Challenge...

Also, in Simpsons: Behind the Laughter, the narrator mentions that they are a 'northern Kentuckian family right at the end, but I don't think that counts.

In any case.

What does Krusty discuss in the rerun of 'Classic Krusty'?

Dilbert1234567 08-13-2004 04:51 PM

gaw... im straining to come up with this, i belive it was some economic stuff

RedCometChar 08-13-2004 09:18 PM

They've showed a few "old" episodes from time to time (Sideshow Raheem), but once he informed the kids that the Falklands had been invaded, and showed them the disputed territory. That what you're looking for?

RedCometChar 08-15-2004 11:10 PM

Proceeding anyhow...

What's the origin of the grudge between Judge Snyder and Lionel Hutz?

Kostya 08-16-2004 04:04 AM

I was referring to the 'Is there a crisis in labour?'

'Well it depends what you mean by crisis Krusty.'

In any case one of my favourite Hutz lines.

Hutz: 'Judge Schneider?' groans

Marge: 'Is that bad?'

Hutz: 'I kinda ran over his dog... Except replace the word kinda with repeatedly and dog with son...'

What does Bart fill Willie's shack with until it explodes? and for bonus points what's Skinner's assessment of this substance?

Kadath 08-16-2004 05:10 AM

Well, it's creamed corn, I think....and when it's being pumped into the school (as it's supposed to be) Skinner tests a fingerful and says something like "It's pure" which seems to be a cocaine joke.

Kostya 08-16-2004 08:03 AM

Correct.

Ask away.

Derwood 08-18-2004 01:43 PM

This thread is dying a slow, miserable death. I weep for this thread! :|

Kadath 08-19-2004 02:38 PM

It DID go for 22 pages, Derwood. That's pretty solid.

Name three celebrities possessed by Comic Book Guy as "The Collector."

Derwood 08-24-2004 12:41 PM

Stan Lee, Lucy Lawless and ???

Kadath 08-24-2004 06:08 PM

I was going for Yasmine Bleeth, Doctor Who(Tom Baker iteration) and Lucy Lawless. Derwood, ask if you feel so inclined.

Derwood 08-25-2004 09:57 AM

The only one I actually knew was Lucy Lawless. I thought Stan Lee was wrong.

Ummmmm, new question.

Which of the following Classic Rock Bands has NOT appeared on The Simpsons:

A. The Who
B. Bachman Turner Overdrive
C. Aerosmith
D. The Rolling Stones
E. Led Zeppelin

Kostya 08-25-2004 06:32 PM

Led Zeppelin I'm fairly sure.

Kadath 08-25-2004 07:17 PM

I agree Kostya, though I can't remember exactly when the Stones were on. I know BTO was at that fair where Lisa lost in the band competition, The Who were in the one where they split Springfield over the area code issue, and Aerosmith was in the Flaming Moe episode.

EDIT: It occurs to me that maybe some of the Stones were in the Rock and Roll camp Homer went to, along with Lenny Kravitz(Don't you have a crotch to stuff?), Elvis Costello(No! My image!), and others...
How do I know all this crap?!

Derwood 08-26-2004 02:14 PM

That's right. The full Stones band wasn't on, but I felt if I said "Mick and Keith" it was too obvious.
