Yeah, I remember in the animated series (1990s) that John Jameson goes to some unknown meteorite searching for some kind of super-explosive rock, which, oddly enough, only has a half-life of a few days (much to the Kingpin's shagrin) and he comes upon the Symbiote there on that rock. It attatches itself to John, then Spider-Man, then Peter Parker manages to detach that shit from himself, and Eddie Brock, still stinging from his firing at the Daily Bugle, is attacked by the Symbiote, and he eventually becomes so dependent on it, that he'll die without it. Of course, a bunch of really good shit happens before then, but there's no way Venom should just have 1 movie. The 3rd should introduce Eddie Brock as a major character, and by the end of the movie, he should hate Peter Parker, then be attacked by the symbiote at the very end. That would lead to a perfect setup for Spider-man 4!

However they do it, I'd like to see Spidey in the black suit for at least a little while first, before the other guys.
I'd also like to know what the symbiote was doing in that machine on the Secret Wars planet in the first place. Anybody speculate on that before?

Loved it...I'm a big Spidey fan [although I haven't read the comics in a long, long time] and thought it was pretty true to the character.
as for characters in the next movie. read this on www.newsaskew.com: An interesting rumor has surfaced that Eliza Dushku, who read for the Mary Jane part in Spidey, might return in the third film as The Black Cat. Just a rumor, folks, but a neat one at that. Oh, and by thte way if you can't get enough Spidey: Variety reports that producer Tony Adams and Marvel Comics are looking to take the comic book-turned-hit-movie Spider-Man franchise and fashion it into a musical

Saw it last night. Pretty damn good. Very entertaining.
And Kirsten Dunst is hot. Especially as a redhead. Yum.

Saw it couple days ago. Kinda bored me. Hit the restrooms like 3x. It was drama, action, drama, action so I went to piss during the drama scenes to not miss the FX.
