Good for you guys.
I'm waiting for the special edition dvd to come out in the Fall of '04 before I see it, though. By then I will have some kind of surround sound system put in, a larger t.v., and a good dvd player. That way I won't have to put up with lousy theater crowds and sticky floors.

ah, but the sticky theater floors are the BEST part of any moviegoing experience.

Fremen.... I have a whole system at home and I can tell you that some of the most minute details don't translate from a 30-40 foot screen to a 36" or even 60" screen. So there is something to be said for the theater experience, even if it's US$10/person to attend.
Otherwise, I do agree with you, there's some movies I'll watch at home in my own venue.

The ticket price is no hassle, or the floors really, for that matter, but we only have one cineplex around here and it hasn't been updated in years. Put it all together and the overall experience isn't really worth it. |

I got my tix for 4:20 on Wednesday (PM) I'm not that hardcore to get the midnight tickets, return to my bed at about 4 in the morning and get only a few hours sleep. I also got tix for this Friday.
