alright,

i'm a big fan of Donnie Darko, but as many times as i've watching that movie, and as much as i love it, i STILL can't quite put everything together in the end.

i wanted to know if anyone could put everything in the right places for me, and explain all the weird concepts of that movie...? i've also been to the website, and i got as far as i could go many times. people say that the website goes on a lot longer than that, but i'm still stuck!

is frank real or imaginary? did cunningham "do anything" with the Sparkle Motion girls? why is donnie laughing in the end, and why does Gretchen wave at donnie's mother like she knows her (also the very end)????????

so many ?s...any answers would be appreciated greatly!

any other comments or ideas about Donnie are welcome as well...

we don't have the dvd yet, and i still don't understand how donnie can see frank throughout the movie, and its quite obvious that he's imagining him all those times. becuase his sister doesn't see who hes talking to, and neither does his doctor. yet at the end frank appears to be very real indeed, because he ran gretchen over, and then, he seems to be a normal person, and talks like one. also, why does frank tell donnie to flood the school. i don't know how that had anything to do with the storyline of the movie. one more thing...does the conversation involving smurfs have anything to do with it, or not??

it seemed like every tiny detail in the movie had a purpose, and it all had to do with how everything came together in the end of the movie.

i loved it so much, and it frustrates me that i'm soo close to understanding everything...!
