What movie needs to be re-made?
 

With all the movie copying and remaking older titles, what movie do you think needs to be re-made...

I think Clash of the Titans needs a face lift. Imagine what they could do with that movie with today's technology....I think it would be SWEET!!!

TRON would be cool.
It's a great flick and the new tech might be a good thing, or not - never know, but maybe it would...

Remaking an old special effects movies with todays technology doesn't sound like a good idea, particularly if we're talking hollywood. I think the new version would just be all about the effects, and way overdone, with the storyline given short shrift. 'Godzilla' anyone?
Isn't the 'cheese factor' part of the charm and enjoyability of these older movies?

I of course agree with Julie. But lets assume for a minute they don't mess it up and actully do it well. I would say probably the original Star Wars (and I very much hope they never do this becasue they WOULD fuck it up bad... but I am assuming actully do it well).

Omega Man. The story is so cool.

A new Tron would be great. What about the Black Hole. Vincent in CG would be really cool.

When I read the topic of this thread I was actually thinking what movie had potential but for some reason fell way below that potential. I was not thinking, “hmm…. what would the "Sound of Music" look like with bullet-time effects”.

Along the lines of what I was first thinking, I would have to say that I would love to see "Watchers" (book by Deen Kontz) and starred Mark Hamill. I really enjoyed the book, but the movie was absolute garbage. There are a bunch of other movies (usually based on random books) that I had high hopes for and was disappointed, but I can't think of any at this moment.

Rolf has the Von Trapps cornered.
He starts shooting.
Herr Von Trapp flexes out of the way of the bullets.
Maria runs up the wall, flips over, and kicks the gun out of Rolf's hand.
Gretel's hair starts floating around her head, and streams of fire come out of her eyes, immolating Rolf.
The rest of the nazis run towards the commotion, and the old nuns step in front of them, holding the Ark of the Covenant.
The nuns avert their gazes, and open the lid.
The nazis melt.
The Von Trapps make their escape.
Cut back to the smoldering Rolf-the smoke is sucking down into his Nazi Youth ring.

The End?

back to the future for shure with CG they could even make Michel j fox look like he's 16 again

If it doesn't get re-made, at least re-release so people can buy it. I love that movie. With a passion.

Yeah. They can change the bikes into tricycles, because regular bikes might offend people.

And I'd just like to point out that any movie from the 70's should NOT be remade. Nothing good could ever come from that.

What about the Creature from the Black Lagoon? I mean they did it with all of the other black and white horror flicks.
