X2 was one of the best comic book-to-movies I've ever seen. The action was just out of this world! Nightcrawler couldn't have been done better! They definately out did themselves with Wolverine, I couldn't believe how many grunts he stuck his claws in! Now all they need is Gambit in X3...

You know, I hope to God that the movie people read things like this online. Because, I have been to several sites boards since the films release, and EVERY board has had some discussion about how they want Gambit in X3.

That was great!!!!! I can't wait until part 3! Since I had already heard about the LeBeau file on the computer, I was scanning the rest fo the files...one was for Jamie Madrox, Multiple Man, and there was also a file for Franklin Richards! God, I love being a geek sometimes. All the cameos were wonderful, too.
I think that they did what they did with Yuriko because this movie was about Wolverine's past. Now that they got that out of the way, they can have more to do with the rest of the crew. The Dark Phoenix stuff will be great! Finally, I think that the Sabertooth skeleton in the beginning was a reference to the fact that the actor who played him, Tyler Mane(sp?) died before the second movie...at least I think he did...

The movie rocked. I didn't look at my watch once throughout the 2.5 hour running time... All the references were greatly appreciated. Great action scenes, that was unexpected from Singer. Wolverine was truly savage. Nightcrawler made teleportation even more cooler. Magneto really used his powers. Pyro is good. Yuriko's appearance was good and exciting, albeit short. CAN"T WAIT FOR THE NEXT MOVIE!!!
On another note. I'm sad that the scene with Gambit was cut from the movie, I'm hoping that he'll be in the next film. |

I loved X2. Loved it.
As Nightcrawler is my all-time favorite X-Men character, I was jubilant that they opened the film with him. However, they really didn't delve too much into his past, like why did he have that same patch of skin at the back of his neck that could be used to administer the mind-controlling drug? When did Stryker capture him? Why did he have to be so meek during the rest of the movie? (He is more confident in the comic series.) Regardless, Alan Cumming was perfect in this role and I hope we get to see him again in X3. I'm also a huge fan of Mystique and Beast (Hank McCoy), which has nothing to do with them being (or becoming) blue. I love heroes how have great fighting abilities. Wolverine was great, especially when he let out that primal berserker scream when stabbing the first special forces guy, but he relies too much on his blades. Nightcrawler and Mystique have bad-ass acrobatic, martial arts skills and if they use the fully mutated Beast in X3, we're in for a serious fight fest! I can't fucking wait!

I liked it, I thought it was great, and I'm a fan from way back. The 3rd one had just better not be called Xmen in Space.
The name that stuck out with me the most on Strykers computer was Jamie Madrox, or Multiple Man. I just wish there was more of the characters, and the best scene was Magneto getting the guard with the iron in his blood. That was awesome.

This movie was the shit and definetly the best comic-book driven movie ever.

I just saw it yesterday and I was really impressed. I couldn't believe that it was over two hours, it sure didn't feel like it. I watche dthe cartoon on FOX quite a bit when I was younger but I never read the comic. Does anyone know a website that provides a kind of overview of the major plots of the comics? Gambit was always my favorite in the cartoon so I hope he is in the next movie. My favorite scene had to be when Nightcrawler was attacking the President followed closely by Magneto pulling the iron out of that guy.

What i thought was best about the movie is you didnt need to have read the comics to get absoulte full appreation. Also X2 ruled over the first xmen movie and that rarely happens. This is one sequal that kicked the first ones ass!!!

my girlfriend and I went to see it with 8 of our friends and we loved it. Even the girls of the group who never read the comics loved it, and follwed along well. I think after the matrix:reloaded we'll see some Jamie Madrox action in X3 using the technology that fuels the "burly fight scene". Though i hope they leave all the Xfactor/Apha Flight references out..and go for a empahsis on the Dark Pheonix saga and the Goblin queen stuff from the old X-force in the 70's. (please someone lend me a hand here.. i cant be the only person who remembers this stuff).

Haha. And I thought I was a nerd just for picking up on the Pheonix Saga. I saw it. It was good. I just have one request for the third movie LESS GOD DAMN WOLVERINE. I mean damn he is cool but there are so many other kick ass charectors that either aren't in the movie at all or just get one line (cyclops for one..) and for what? So wolverine can get another one liner? I mean really. A good chunk of the first movie as well as a good chunk of this one was about wolverine and his past. Make a wolverine movie if you must but in the mean time give some of the other charectors some air time.

That's what I think is the problem for when/if they make a Wolverine movie, it'll be no different fromt he X-Men movies! So I'm not sure if it'll be all that great/popular.
All I seriously want out of X3 is Colossus take out whole bunch of dudes like the Burly Brawl in Matrix 2. |

However, I agree that Wolverine gets way too much airtime and Colossus should have been given more ass-kicking opportunities. Also, why couldn't they find a guy with a Russian accent, fer god's sake!

I was referring to X-factor and Alpha Flight because The movie scould take a turn that way considering the whole Jean Grey/ Madelyne Pryor connection when Scott goes back to Alaska for some R&R. Plus that would give the writers an excuse to waste even MORE time on the wolverine side stories. If i were Brian Singer.. i'd ignore the X-factor years alltogether. *whew* okay.. does that make any sense now? |

I think i know what your referring to now. But i'm not sure that Alpha Flight had anything to do with Maddie. If i recall correctly, Maddie was a clone created by Mr.Sinister that he created in order to sample Scott's dna and to bring forth a child from Scott/Maddie. The X-Factor referrence makes sense to me since this entire storyline was resolved when Scott was a member of X-Factor. But i still don't get the Alpha Flight referrence. |

does anyone know if Gambit is supposed to be in the 3rd movie?
and Rogue did get her powers from Ms. Marvel, her powers put miss marvel in a coma. But if they do bring Gambit in what happens with that relationship. If i remember the comics right Gambit and Rogue have very weird relationship.

====================================== Alpha flight has nothing to do with Madeylne Pryor.. I was referencing Alpha Flight to help move along a possible wolverine side story. For instance: Scott, all weepy because of Jean's death, goes to Alaska to do some soulsearching/mourning. Wolvie in an effort to learn more about his past/ do the whole "lone rebel" thing.. goes to Canada to check out the now destroyed base of operations from X2's villain (Stryker).. There he runs into *shudders* Alpha Flight and then the whole thing degenerates into a musical.. whaaat??... it could happen! |

Awesome Movie.....can't wait for the next...

Don't forget Mystique raised Rogue, and Rogue had Miss. Marvel's powers before she joined Xavier in the comics.

i heard on the radio today that someone counted 42 actual mistakes in the film.
they said continuity mistakes like glasses being cracked and then not, and such stuff was plentiful. i didn't notice such mistakes at all. perhaps these mistake counters were mutant haters.
