Hugh Jackman as next Bond?
Anyone hear this rumor?
I just heard it on MTV. I'm a little annoyed. |
I've never heard this rumor but all I can say is I hope he doesn't take the part of Bond, if he does we might see his career slowly twisting counter clockwise down the toilet.
|
As much as I like him...
No Just .... no |
I seriously hope he doesn't do a Bond movie.
He's a great actor, can't wait to see him in Van Helsing, but I just can't see him as Bond. |
Well... I want him to keep starring in shitty movies like Kate and Leopold. That way, he'll have incentive to stay playing Wolverine, instead of "moving on". ;)
And yea, I'd have trouble picturing him as Bond as well. |
i think Bond is doing fine with Brosnon. I think that Brosnon has a few more years left. Maybe One or two more movies then they will have to find a new person. look for some up newbie actors to fill in the role.
|
If Hugh Jackman shaved, I can see him as Bond pretty easily. He's a good enough actor to do it as well. Well, he fits the bill better than anyone else I can think of right now (besides Pierce Brosnan who was perfect).

Just a rumour, won't happen, personally I think Christian Bale would be great, Clive Owen would rock too.
|
Clive Owen would be the best Bond ever. He has that evil look in his eye that's been missing. Christian Bale is the next Bruce Wayne/Batman in the next movie.

Bale for Batman, Owen for Bond. |
Bond is British...
Jackman is Australian... No Deal.. |
I heard the rumor of Ewan McGregor, too.
Not sure I like either choice. |
Ewan McGregor would plain suck as bond. He dosent have the attitude to act like bond.
|
Owen for Bond! He'd fit right in, in my opinion. Althought Brosnan is doing fine, Owen would surely kick ass.
|
I must say that i've really like the idea of Jeremy Northam as Bond, he has that same feel that i get from a mix of Connery and Moore.
|
What's up with all the 007 threads lately...
I think Jackman cleaned up and a polished brit accent would work. |

Jackmans a little sissy, I don't like the guy. I've seen a few interviews with him (Daily Show, etc.) and he's just not the guy he portrays in movies. Not manly enough to be bond.
|
besides jackman...i dont know who any of you are talking about. post some pics.
|
I thought they already decided that Brosnan would do one more movie and then Owen would be the next Bond?
I guess I'm just mis-remembering..... If Clive hasn't sewn up the Bond part, he should. He would be fantastic. |

Brosnan is Irish... Dalton is Welsh... ...And George Lazenby is Australian. |
How about Adrian Paul?
Maybe not the best choice acting wise but he has the look and more importantly, he can bring a much needed physical action presence to the series. Guns and gadgets are great but I always have to shake my head when it comes to a physical fight with Brosnan. |

I hate to say this, but i heard somewhere that Clive Owen refused to be considered for the next Bond, cos it's just playing a role, not real pure acting. I'll go see if i can find the article.

Jackman may be a good actor, but he's one of those hairy kinds that likes to do Die Hard kind of movies. Bond needs clean shaven actors to play him. Hugh ain clean dude...Yeah, every australian ain't right for Bond. George Lazenby is austrialian and he just fukin sucks at his role for Bond. There's so many rumours running around about the next Bond actor including IGN reporting that Geard Bulter is the next Bond. Clive Owen was mentioned, so was Jude Law, Hugh Grant (God no, I'd kill myself if I ever saw that man again...) Russell Crowe, etc etc... |
I just dont think Jackman has the refinement that Brosnan does. Brosnan just oozes cool, suave, and witty refinement, and I just dont think Jackman has that.
|
Hugh Jackman's one of my favorite actors. Although I think Brosnan's a better Bond, I would say Hugh's the best choice out of the other candidates.

Whos the New Bond
Who do you think will make the better bond. All the guys listed are rumored to be bond.
|
ANYONE but Russell Crowe... he's a fooking crap actor.
|
I put in a vote for Ewan McGregor. I think he would make quite an interesting choice and would bring charm (along with the accent) similar to Sean Connery's.
|
Ewan McGreggor would rule as James Bond. His style reminds me of Connery.
|
I think a lot of these choices are good. I picked Clive Owen. He's not as big name as the rest of these guys and his work on the BMW film series showed his skills pretty well. His schedule would more likely be open for a few years to churn out some 007 goodness. Macgregor is a close second for me. He's got the class to do it.
I like Hugh Grant, but he's way too goofy to pull it off. Viggo, Jackman, and Crowe seem a little too rugged looking to do it. Jude Law seems too softspoken, and I thought Christian Bale was American, if not he could be a good choice too. |
Yeah, McGregor just seems to have the more debonair attitude that a Bond actor requires.
|
Another vote for Clive Owen. The whole series of BMW films were really good. I think he fits the part

New Bond Girl
I've heard a few rumors about whos going to be the new Bond girl. If anyone has heard of anything post it here.
I've heard names from Cathrine Zeta-Jones to another Madonna cameo. I liked Hally Berry but there are some rumors going around that she'll be in the next Bond again. Personally I like her but once is enough. I've aslo heard that Michelle Pfifer might play but who knows. I'd just like to know if anyone has heard anything. |
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
|
Cathrine Zeta-Jones or Pfifer would work, but please oh please no Madonna.
|
I'm shocked and awed at all the Bond threads! :)
The last movie with Brosnan and Barry wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but I don't think that it's either of their faults. Maybe it's that the Bond franchise is fizzling out, or that they simply need better writers. But, I got off the subject. I think that Brosnan should do fine for the next one or two 007 films, but if he needs a replacement, I would choose Clive Owen. |
