I am ashamed to admit I liked "Beaches."
Someone said "its really funny when that one lady dies." So for years I kept thinking about that statement, wondering, how could that possibly be funny? I finally saw it last year, and yes, it is really funny when that one lady dies. |

Speaking of "Beaches," I liked "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio. Everyone I talk to won't listen to me about movie advice anymore because they all went and saw it after I said I liked it. They all hated it.

I don't know why, but I seem to have an affinity towards bad comedies, while everyone on the IMDB who comments seem to hate them, give them terrible ratings, etc, I love the hell out of them. I wouldn't see a bad or mediocre 'real' movie if they offered to pay for the ticket, but a bad comedy, any day of the week...
Examples: . . . . . McHale's Navy . . . . . Down Periscope . . . . . Robin Hood: Men in Tights Etc...

People only say that it sucked because it pissed away all of the salient political and social points that Heinlein made in the novel. It was okay if you ignored the title and didn't otherwise associate it with the Heinlein novel. I _almost_ liked it. I read Starship Troopers when it hit the streets in 59 and probably a dozen time since. That was just too many times to be forgiving enough of the film's flaws. It's a movie I wouldn't mind watching it again, but one which I would not pay to see.

Bad Boys 2 defines my memories of the summer of 2003.
I also find no fault in Back to the Future 2. Almost everyone I talk to likes 1 and 3 but hates 2. While I admit that it's my least favorite one in the trilogy, I still think it's a great movie.

The best worst movie of all time has to be Hudson Hawk. I really want that on DVD but I can't find it anywhere.

One of my favorite movies of all time actually I can watch it any day of the week and enjoy it. That movie is such a satire and political machine, it's funny as hell....... And the soundtrack and ultra violence are great too

Spacecamp. But, that has more to do with Lea Thompson, than anything else. I also liked Red Dawn and Howard The Duck. Same reason.

I have plenty 'cause I watch a lot of movies:
Uptown Girls, Mean Girls Kiki's Delivery Service, The Little Mermaid (I'm not ashamed to say I think Ariel is a hot piece of ass) Once Upon a Time in the Midlands (because I used to live there) The Secretary (For some this film is just an eccentric curiosity, but I was moved by it) Jackass: The Movie |
