Help me name this horror movie. - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Ok, I remember next to nothing of this movie, but here goes:

Follows the basic plot of "Strange, evil happenings in a haunted house, we must find the body hidden within and put it to rest to end the terror, yada yada yada"

Eventualy, they find a body that's been hanged, behind a wall. It's the body of an adult, not a child, so it's not House of the Damned, which is what actualy sparked the memory of this movie.

This body that they find is either a)not the correct body to make things settle down, or b)the correct body, that they found only after they found a first body, and thought the problem neatly solved, until the next crisis came up.

That's it, sure hope someone out there can help me. I could be slightly off in any of the above, but I think it's pretty close.

hrrmmm first thing to come to mind is stir of echos with Kevin Bacon but it doesnt quite fit what your looking for...

Any other details that can help? Maybe you can guess at when it was made?

I'm fairly certain that it was made in the 90's...the production values were decent, ie, it's not a full moon entertainment movie. It involved a group of people, unrelated, not just a family. I think the body they found that wasn't hanged was in the basement.

Yea I thought of Stif of Echos as well, but I think that movie, a girl was hanged. Uh... www.imdb.com might help, I searched some there, but it was kinda, I duno.

no one was hanged in Echos, she was strangled in an empty house, then walled up in the basement of that house to keep anyone from knowing she was raped and killed. And that was a small family being effected in the house.

Is this a newer movie (90s) or an older film (70s-80s) ?
