Bad Santa!
I have seen very few movies where the whole crowd busts out with loud laughter more than a few times. Damn funny movie! It ranks in my top five dark comedies of all time
![]() I SOOOO advise any and all who enjoy movies like 'Heathers' or 'Very Bad Things' to go see this ASAP!

I think it looks hilarious and I can't wait to see it. Might see it tomorrow or the day after. The movie, for me at least, felt like it had a Me, Myself, and Irene feel to it. Mainly because they used the same (insert politically correct name for a midget/dwarf here) who said similar things to Charlies wife in M, M, & I.

Even though he hasn't done much, I love Terry Zwigoff's couple of films. Both Crumb and Ghost World were brilliant, so Bad Santa is a must see for me.

Roger Ebert gave it 3.5 stars out of 4. Looks like I might have to go see it. Ebert's review says it pretty good:

I have watched the TV commercials for it and saw the trailer for it before the movie I went to see the other night.
Between the TV and Theatre trailers, it seemed like there was almost 2 completely different movies. The TV ones show Billy Bob and the Midget do a bunch of awful stuff. The trailer at the theatre made it look like Billy Bob was a misguided but kind-hearted person that helps an overweight, unpopular kid overcome his problems. ![]() |

The people who are complaining about this movie tarnishing the image of Santa need to shut up. It's rated R, don't let your kids see it if you're that concerned, it's not like it was snuck by the MPAA as a happy-go-lucky-feel-good-Rudolph-the-Red-Nosed Reindeer-movie. It looks pretty funny and if I miss it in theaters I'll prolly end up seeing it on DVD.

I just got back from seeing it. Great movie, but do NOT let your kids see it if they believe in Santa at all. I wouldn't let any kid under 13 see it either. It's rated R for a reason.
Anyway, I haven't seen a movie this grungy in a long time. That's a bad thing though! Grungy movies can be awesome if done the right way, and this one most certainly is. Billy Bob Thornton now places in my "Top five most grungiest actors" list. His method of portraying a department store Santa that literally cares about nothing is perfect. If you love dark comedies than you'll love this movie. It's not a kids' movie. It doesn't change the fact that it's a comedy, though. I don't see how anyone could not like this movie on some level, even if it were just to cause laughter. Even though the grunginess and laughter is a terrible plot that was executed so damn well that it seems perfect. I recommend it highly! -Lasereth

That was one of the darkest comedies I've seen in a while. I really liked it. I think most of the audience didn't get it, though. And then there were the little kids in there...what were their parents thinking?!?! It's an R-rated move!
Thornton was perfect for the role, and I really don't think many other actors could have pulled it off. I would definitely recommend this movie to fans of Very Bad Things!

Just got back from seeing that movie. It was fucking hilarious. And I agree, definitely NOT for children.

Not wall to wall laughs, but deffinitely worth seeing if just for Billy Bob Thorton's interactions with the fat kid (Therman Merman, now that's a classic name).
It's also funny to see the mom from Gilmore Girls humping Billy Bob Thorton's character while screaming "Fuck me santa, Fuck me santa, Fuck me santa....." Not that I watch Gilmore Girls. |

Fucking hilarious movie...wow....saw it tonight and I laughed my ass off the entire movie.
I am in agreement with the others in that it is NOT appropriate for kids at all. Used fuck the most times I have ever seen in a movie so far. Pretty damn funny.

Gotta agree with most here. The movie was hilarious. I went to a 10:00pm show of it awhile ago and this guy had a 8 year old kid with him?!?! At least he walked out with him after about 10 min of it.
Hilarious stuff though. I love those dark comedies.

I saw this last night, it was a good movie. I was a bit leary of seeing it after reading the newspaper description about a kid showing Billy Bob Thornton the meaning of Christmas. I was scared it would turn into a cheesy feel-good movie, but that didn't exactly happen, at least not in the way I feared.
I like the part where Thornton and the midget arrive at the mall, and the midget is talking to the manager while Thornton is drunk and staring at that girl's ass. Then Thornton accuses the manager of thinking there was something wrong with his "fuck-stick." |

Saw it last night on Starz.
Over the top, but very humorous. The tirade by the dwarf directed at Bernie Mac was classic. ![]() And I loved it when BBT beat the high-holy fuck out of the kid's bully. ![]()
