History Of Photography
I wasn't sure were to put this but thread but the photograph thread seemed to be for peoples own photos. I have to do a presentation on the history of photography for a class in the coming weeks and I would like to have a slideshow going on the background while I talk. I am asking you guys and gals what you think are the most important photographs ever taken (please No Porn!) Please post them or link them and say why you think they are important. Your help would be greatly, Greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

well, in terms of photojournalism you cannot go past this masterpiece...
http://www.peterfetterman.com/images...r/loyalist.jpg its The Loyalist (shot during the Spanish Civil War), by Robert Capa... who is regarded along with Henri Cartier-Bresson as the fathers of modern photojournalism. they started Magnum, with David īChimī Seymour and George Rodger. as for the real history of straight photography, well iīm not much of a help, sorry. |
