Anyone hyped for the new Punisher Movie? I am!

http://www.apple.com/trailers/artisa...isher/trailer/

New trailer! I'm really psyched, he's one of my favourite Marvel characters. I see the Russian in there, too

Thomas Jane does not echoe Frank Castle for me, and having a wrestler have an important role in the film is very disheartening. Perhaps they should have just got Hulk Hogan to star as Castle "I'm gonna crush some criminal scumbag brother!"

I'll still go see it as The Punisher was one of my favourite comics as a kid.

The trailer actually looks pretty damn good. I'm kind of surprised at that, and it boosts my hope for the film. It might not be that bad.

I will not willingly give even matinee money to another movie that stars John Travolta... Punisher was never one of my favorite comics anyway, so I can wait for the screener.

I was actually pretty fond of the first movie with Dolph LUndgren. This guy just doesn't look like The Punisher but I'll go see it.

I don't think the actor playing Castle looks tough/big enough.

That looks pretty bad-ass. Travolta as the bad guy looks like good casting.

Looks good. I'm glad Marvel productions are getting more respect than they used to (Captain America... *shudder*) these days. Is Travolta supposed to be a "name" villain, like Jigsaw or somebody, or just some guy who can be cathartically executed at the end without disturbing the comic mythos?

I once had a dream to own ALL the Marvel DVD releases. It has however been harder and harder for me to justify some of the purchases. I couldn't bear to part with green for Dare Devil and I'm still waivering on the Hulk. Sadly this doesn't look like one I even want to see in the theatre... and I REALLY LIKE THE PUNISHER!!!!

Granted... this has to be way better than Dolph's version

They filmed most of themovie here in Florida, and one of my friends was working on it and told me the general consensus among the people involved with it say it looks like it's going to suck. Just in case anyone was wondering, the art director on the film makes $5,600.00 a week. Friend saw the paystub. (spoiler next)

btw......John Travolta gets a bomb strapped to him and drives down the road in a shelby cobra then explodes. Thats the end, thats how he dies.

Never was that big a fan of the punisher, and ya when they use that freakin bodies hit the floor song, that almost assures me that the movie will suck.

That reminds me anyone know what ever happen to them making a ghost rider movie??

supposedly this is a new trailer for the movie:

http://movies.yahoo.com/movies/feature/thepunisher.html

I haven't watched it yet because my speakers aren't hooked up but they're promoting it as a "new" trailer for The Punisher. I saw the first trailer and it looked pretty badass. I'm hyped for this movie.

I see my point has been made several times already, but let me just add my voice to the chorus of people affirming that Dolf made the role his own, and no one can do it better.

Really. The punisher was a bit of a ridiculous, over the top kind of comic book character (as opposed to Galactus, f'rinstance) and needed to be played by a completely ridiculous over the top parody of an actor.

Only Dolf can do it.

Im looking foward to it just because Marvel didnt have their shit together and make movies when I was a kid. I'll go see it but I fear that this one might be a crapfest. I hope it rocks and will be more than willing to eat my words. But Hulk Hogan? C'mon! That guy is over and down with (coming from an old school HulkaManiac)! The minute I heard that he was in the movie, I lost hope.

My thoughts exactly.

The reason I think this movie has a chance is that there isn't any "cringe" moments in the trailer so far. The parts that look like it could be a bad movie. Like "yo mamma" or anything of the such for a one-liner. I saw explosions, guns, knives, fighting, a pissed off guy, and more importantly: I saw revenge.

I'm prepaired to be punished

I saw 2 other shorter spots that made the film look absolutely cheesey and awful. With some softer Staind song in the background, and Castle never talked. Looked like a huge sappy whine-fest. But this made me feel a little better. Nice work with the butterfly knife, too.
