The guy that translated this version lived in a cave with his mother/wife (so says the lady who was in charge of the cash register when I bought it)...so you can understand that his point of view is, a little odd, to say the least.

Now I'm reading Whitney, My Love by Judith McNaught (GREAT book...for the ladies) I started it about 2 days ago and I'm almost done, but I don't want it to end.

I just started reading The Elder Gods by David Eddings. So far my opinion seems to be a little higher than the average reviews but I can see it's going no where fast. I wouldn't have given it a chance if I hadn't enjoyed Eddings' other books.

I started/finished Da Vinci code last night. Someone said earlier in the thread that it was a cheap thriller, and in a way I agree with them. What kept me going was the attention to detail and all the puzzles that I'd try to figure out before the characters do (I mean, APPLE, come ON people...). Anyway, it was a fun afternoon. =)

Just finishing up "The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass" so that I can read #5, "The Wolves of Calla"

It had been so long since I've read them, I decided to catch up and re-read the entire series. I can't believe how much I had forgotten about the storyline.

I think this is Stephen King's best work!!

Wolves was great. I consider it his most compelling DT book yet. Previously, I switched between Wastelands and Drawing Of The Three. If you haven't read Insomnia, I recommend that for its DT connection; it's almost like it creates a Dark Tower religion!

Odd Thomas by Koontz. I'm pleased with this book. He's gotten much better since he started out. Though his ideas from book to book are often similar and his lead character generally shows the same sort of characteristics, there are enough distinctions to keep it enjoyable yet familiar. Next on the list, a couple novels by Phillip Dick.

I've been struggling through the Gunslinger...I keep picking it up, then putting it back down. Everyone tells me the series is well worth getting through the first book though, so I'll keep at it.
