I think that this flick may end up not being all that wonderful to non-fans of the genre, but incredible to those who are. Time shall tell

This film is soooo going to suck.

:( And I loved Alien.

I guess I'll just have to be happy with the recently released director's cut.

As long as the main characters wander around dark alleyways eating pizzas and hamburgers that they find on the ground I'll be happy. Oh and they should collect gem stones that fall out of boxes and barrels when they shoot them. That would be soo sweet.

To be honest, all that I want to see is some kick-ass scenes with Aliens fighting predators, humans getting caught up between and being mutilated.

I like the premise, but I'm afriad there is to much to F' up for them to get it right.

I also think that sci-fi fans may be ok with the movie, but it's the true, die-hard fans of either genre that will be disapointed in the end.

Which is sad, as the idea has sooooo much potiential.

It's cool to know it's being made. It might suck, it might not, who knows. It should have some good action atleast. I'll go see it.

they should subtract the humans from the picture, its just going to make it suck cause in the end the humans will win regadless which is mondo stupid

I couldn't get the trailer to load. . . but without people of some kind it would be hard to have any kind of dramatic tension. The average person will not care for an Alien thing, and they won't care much for a big nasty Predator.

Sounds like a bit of the old ultraviolence to me. Count me in. For $6.50, why not?

Unless this is Godzilla bad, it definitely won't be a bad waste of matinee money. :D

i´m not so sure about how good this´ll be.
i mean, Freddy vs Jason didn´t even pull me into the cinema...
i hope this doesn´t take anything away from the originals... i mean, Alien and Predator both hold special places in my heart.

I saw the rerelease of Alien, which was great, I was 6 when it came out, they mentioned it in the preview, but had nothing to show. It will probably suck, but I will see it anyways.

I think it could be good. The comic was kickass.. But then again it was alot darker then what HollyWood is willing to make. Its too bad really.. The formula should be as such
Predators seed planet with a few Aliens for thier "coming of age ceremony".. Aliens find humans and start to breed in thier own special way.. Predators come and start killing Aliens, humans get caught in horrible crossfighting and die horrible deaths.. One human survives just long enough to realize that they are way out of their league and uses the oh so famous "we're all going to die!! Game over!!" And then the humans die..

To anyone who thinks that this will be a remotely decent movie.

Yes that right, a single person is responsible for ALL of these MONSTROCITIES!

I mean, he even managed to fuck up resident evil, which was an absolute no-brainer in my opinion....all the hard work was already done! And he still made a balls of it.

(To anyone who might make the claim that at least event horizon had a decent story line.....he didn't write that film...all he did was fuck up a reasonable story)

You would think with as much already done awesome stories done with this it would be an easy write up. That's one of the many things I hate about Hollywood. Some asshat screen writer feels the need to create something new, when there's no need. It's a cookie cutter story, humans caught between a rock and a hard place must make friends with their enemies to survive. Seems simple right?

I still think the eating pizzas found lying on the ground would be a good addition to any movie.

Still there is always hope. (however slim and dark)

That would be sweet! I would be delighted to not see one of the best Sci-fi movie series (alien) being raped by a cack handed retard.

Alien 3 and 4 weren't masterpeices, but they were still pretty good movies.

Hahaha! CSflim that's by far the funniest, and most unlikely, response I could have expected to that information. I agree that the idea of them reaming not just one great franchise, but two staple characters from my youth would be a tragedy beyond compare. I would rather have them do it right or not even attempt it. And since I have no faith in anyone to be able to make this movie anymore, I'd rather never see it and just have the dreams of what could have been than nightmares of what a shitty movie they put out.

About 10 yrs ago there was a comic mini-series called Alien vs Predator. I think Dark Horse put it out, I dont feel like digging thru 200 boxes right now. It centered around a mining colony on a planet that the predators "seed" with Aliens to make a hunting ground, pretty cool as I recall.

Anyway, does anyone one know if they are using that story line?

No. As cool as that series was, it unfortunately not be the plot of the movie.

ideas like this always seem okay on paper, but really, come on. It's got to suck.

As a big fan of the comic book, this is either gonna kick ass, or destroy my childhood. I still havent seen the hulk for this reason. But if they make this film right, boy will it kick some ass.
