Better Luck Tomorrow?
(sorry if it's already been covered, I already did a search)
Anyways I just watched it on dvd. Very powerful film. Rather dark and disturbing though, but it's definitely thought provoking. I recommend watching it, even if you're white. j/k Anyone else see it?

Oh yeah what the hell happened to that movie? I never saw it at any of the theaters around here and I haven't seen it at the rental stores lately either. I'm gonna have to keep my eye out for it next time I'm there. I actually wanted to see it cause it looked pretty good.

It's basicly the story of these over achievers that slowly follow the path of crime, sex, drugs and other debauchery. It's hard to explain..pretty crazy ending.
Anyways here's the trailer http://www.apple.com/trailers/indepe..._tomorrow.html

Never saw it either, but the title is an homage to Hong Kong action cinema from the sounds of it. Might be interesting....

It was an interesting flick. I thought it was terribly cool how all the main characters were asian, but not a big deal was ever made of it...

I thought it was a big deal that this was the first "big" film to feature an all-Asian cast, as well as an Asian writer. What was interesting was that when Better Luck Tomorrow was presented to the film company (sorry I don't know the name), they actually suggested writing in a caucasian lead part. Obviously, that never happened.
In the now-burning SoCal, I heard the movie had a pretty big opening weekend, topping the state's list. |
