Glory(actually called out,'oh my gawd! they killed denzel!!' in the theatre)
Driving Miss Daisy Forrest Gump(a little long, but great ending) The Miracle Worker(original, not the lame remake-acting and atmosphere are everything)

American History X
The Beast (a movie about the Russians in Afghanistan.. you really feel for the Afghani's) Spun (the movie wasn't really moving, but the drug lifestyle is all too familiar)

*Amores Perros
*Life is Beautiful *Requiem for a Dream *Grave of the Fireflies *Blade Runner (Director's Cut) - I'm so glad I studied this in high school *American Beauty *Red *Before Sunrise/Sunset *House of Sand and Fog (one of the few cases where the movie is better than the book...I read the book after and it was surprisingly disappointing overall...the characterisation is still excellent, but the pacing is rather poor and it has too much padding) *City of Lost Children Quote:

The Green Mile - The entire movie was just absolutely heart wrenching.
ROTK - Frodo and Sam's relationship was not homoerotic, and most of the scenes with those two were beautifully done. American Beauty - This mocie made me look at life completely differently. I will never look at a plastic bag the same again. Titanic - Shut up! American History X - This movie made me cringe more than any other movie. About Shmidt - About Shmidt depressed me for weeks. I am terrified that it will be how my life is at an old age, and knowing that most people live elderly lives like that saddens me. The Fox and the Hound - Damn. That's all I have to say. Damn.

City of Angels- The movie itself and the point in my life when I saw it, just tore me up hard. The song "Iris" still hits me hard.
Meet Joe Black- Chick flick, but hit a lot of buttons. Bathhouse- Chinese movie about a family run bath house. Very emotional. Infernal Affair- the name does not fit hte movie. Chinese cop flick. Depressing as hell. Trainspotting- Yes Jimmy, it is a "brilliant black comedy". Doesn't change that fact that movie fuckin hurt. Transformers the Movie- I cried like a bitch when they killed Prime. American Beauty- You've seen it. You know. Requiem for a Dream- Pain in technicolor. Big Fish- The end just tore me up hard. Blade Runner (Directors cut)- "It's to bad she won't live, but then again, who does?" Says is all right there. Phenomenon- I felt like I lost my best friend after watching that movie. Harsh. Just fucking harsh. SLC Punk- It's just so fucked up how he dies. Great film. All I can think of right now. I'm sure more will pop up later.

A lot of great movies mentioned.
One's that come to me right now: Green Mile - bawled my eyes out Life as a House - bawled my eyes out (See a pattern forming?) Field of Dreams - the James Earl Jones speech ("People will come, Ray"): goose bumps every time! Any movie that happens to get me at the time. I could watch it one day and cry; the next day, nothing.

Well, this is what i was going to post:
Apollo 13. I didnt pee before i went in and it was a long movie. By the middle of the movie I had a pain in my bladder like youve never felt before. Afterwards in the bathroom, i had to stand there for 5 minutes before anything came out cause my body had just locked it in from holding it so long. It was the longest piss i ever took and it hurt the whole time. Anyway, Armageddon. The scene where Bruce Willis stays on the asteroid instead of Ben Affleck. It may be stupid but it brought a tear to my eye. |

Collateral: The scene where Jaime Fox and Jada Pinkeet Smith are talking in his cab. Just something about that conversation gets me.
American History X. Mr. Hollands Opus. The Shawshank Redemption. But my number one film that hits me the most emotionally is an animated short called Voices From a Distant Star. I don't really want to spoil it but I cannot reccomend it highly enough. I'll take a look at Requiem for a Dream. So many people have mentioned it that I feel like I'm missing out.
