Dumb fun. I love all the Jewish jokes. Spoiler: hummus is used for eating, drinking; used as a toothpaste, and as a fire extinguishing agent

I'm normally a Judd Aptow fan but it lacked the fluidity of Superbad, the charm of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the originality of 40 Year Old Virgin, and the timing of Knocked Up.

It was completely unoriginal, the plot had no life, the Rogen/Franco improv scenes (all of them) were not funny, most, if not all of, the jokes fell flat, and it was not charming, cute, or endearing. It was void of every characteristic that is usually present in one of their films. Rogen, after awhile, starts to lose direction; his improv skills are great but there is an arrogance to his style that leaves no room for connection at points. There is something very visually open about Steve Carrel's improv that he lacks; I think it's his age. He can do better and I'm praying he does; he is becoming the "I'll put myself in it because I can" guy. Bad idea.

This was a pretty good film ,I thought : Good acting, exciting plot, a Man's film
BUT it had a lousy ending. Maybe just no end or was it just a set up for part 2;
NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN 2 ? (This was taken from a novel and the film won
BEST PICTURE for 2007 at the last Academy Awards TV show. (Wow..best film

The Pacino parts were a bit painful. They're supposed to be, of course, but i always find Pacino to be hard to watch. The character actors around him are excellent, though. I liked Vito's story better. It's not just that it's something of a comedy, but that it's more complex than the Michael half of the movie.

It's a very different movie than the first one. It's not as cartoony, is more determined by structure (Vito rises, Michael falls), and yet looser & more sprawling -- in a good way -- at the same time.

not bad. too much technology. started off pretty normal and went beserk in the end with the suits. ended up more sci-fi with more digital manipulation than a movie in the end.

the only human aspect of it was the relationship between robert downey jnr and gyneth paltrow.

dare i say.. this movie was devoid of a heart

The ending really is love it or hate it. Personally I loved it and thought it totally fit the mood of the movie, but I also know quite a few people that loved the move but hated the end.

anyway.

Resident Evil: Extinction.

1.5/5

I enjoyed the first Res Evil. It was silly fun. The second was BIGGER! LOUDER! and really not as good but had some pretty decent moments. This one though just couldn't hold my interest at all. Thankfully I was watching for free on the Movie Network because half way through I logged on to TFP because it just got dumber and dumber. I've heard they are thinking about Res Evil 4 already but really why?

Finally made it in to see the latest Batman flick. It was decent, had a decent plot, decent acting. Though I think Ledgers acting is being highly rated partly due to his passing. I don't think he sucked in it by any means, but I highly doubt anyone would be talking Oscar if he were still alive. Seemed a little long to me too.

I give it a 7/10. But it's not my kind of flick, for me a movie based on a comic book a 7/10 is about as close to 10/10 as it could get. I mean I turned Hellboy II off about half way through it.

Cool Superman stuff.
It has a promising start but went down hill from the second half. I was expecting a climatic final battle. That didn't happen.

However, i'm still laughing over the 'whats one of these? A dead one of these gag'.

The Dark Knight--8/10

I am not an action movie person. The only previous Batman that I had seen was the cheesy TV show on Nickelodeon in the early 80s (re-runs). I have not particularly liked Superman or Spiderman (I think I have seen one of each).

But this movie caught me by surprise. I was totally drawn in--and very impressed. I could not recognize Heath Ledger throughout the entire movie-- I can't remember the last time that I was so convinced about someone being in character. A few things were superfluous and could have been dropped--and the storyline was just a LITTLE bit too roundabout--but overall, I was thoroughly entertained and had tons to discuss with ktspktsp afterwards. I would almost go see it again, just to make sure I got everything.

It was a bit uninspired, more of the same SW Universe with little added to the main storyline. It's set between Ep 2 and Ep 3. New toys, some new characters, but mostly the same stuff. I found it a bit too childish in some senses.

Yes I have. The cartoon micro series are more like little vignettes. The animation style is similar but CGI. I'd not really compare it to the Genndy Tartakovsky series since it's not fair for to the 5 minute shorts against a 90 minute large budget movie. It stands by itself quite well and but doesn't give much deeper insight to any characters save the introduction of a new one. I'm more interested to see what they do with the series.

It also kicks off the TV show spin off.

Just saw this last night for the third time. Damn its good! Now don't think I am some crazy that sees movies tons of times in the theater. I saw it the second time because I was with a smoking hot girl and we wanted to see it in the IMAX, and now this time because I flew out to see my brother and he wanted to see it as he had not yet. So there you have it.

Hitman - 7/10

I liked this one. Just a turn-off-your-brain action movie that was actually pretty decent. I would take this over that shit Mr. and Mrs. Smith any day.

Actually NO. They were made like that for TV but in the dvds, they are linked togheter really well. It feels like you're watching a full hour dvd. So with both of them, it's a full 2hr.

That is what I would compare it to. Not a 5min short that started the cartoon series.
-----Added 11/8/2008 at 10 : 43 : 06-----
edit: Whole series - approx. 127 min.

* Season One and Season Two/DVD Volume One - These seasons features one major storyline surrounded by a series of many battles. Count Dooku holds auditions for a bounty hunter on the planet Rattatak by pitting them against each other in a battle arena. She engages him in a space battle, through the streets of Muunilinst and eventually leading him into Yavin 4, where the two engage in a lightsaber duel. Anakin emerges the victor, but by means of rage and fear, the path to the Dark Side of the Force.
Apart from the main storyline, many battles ensue, including Mace Windu's fight on Dantooine, Obi-Wan fighting against bounty hunter Durge and the Banking Clan, Kit Fisto's battle against the Quarren on Mon Calamari, the adventures on Ilum and the Battle of Hypori in which General Grevious makes his first appearance in Star Wars media.

* Season Three/DVD Volume Two - The third and last season of Star Wars: Clone Wars gives the audience a look at Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker's adventures in the Outer-Rim Territories as mentioned in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Anakin is made a Jedi Knight and Coruscant comes under attack by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, as a diversion for General Grevious to sneak in and capture Chancellor Palpatine.

Right, but I watched them in their original broadcast 5 minutes each week, the way you watched it that's not how they were released. I watched them all online back to back at one point in time. I didn't say they didn't link together well as a whole story, it just isn't fair to compare the two they are distinctly different from the cartoons and from the live action. Maybe you'll agree when you see it yourself. Maybe you won't.

Dark Knight 10/10
very good movie. I'd have liked it even as a cop thriller because the batmanness of it wasn't too invasive to me. Ledger's performance was top notch.

Franco completely carries the movie. In the end, his character is the only one you care about. Rogen works better in a movie where he is reacting rather than driving the story. Still, there are some funny bits and its the first ever stoner/action movie, so I'll give it a solid 7/10.

Strange and beautiful film. The story of two teenage girls in 1950s New Zealand who alarm their parents with their intense friendship. Things could have been handled better...tragedy ensues.

Great film. Peter Jackson. Wonderful first film performances by the two young actresses, includng Kate Winslet. Wouldn't it be great to have Kate Winslet as a girlfriend?

I enjoyed the it very much.

Hellboy 2 - 6.5/10

Decent movie for an action fantasy flick. I have never read the comics so I know nothing about hellboy other than the movies. Good popcorn flick but nothing too special about it. Niles Crane wasn't in this one, so that was kind of strange.

Starship Troopers 3 - 6/10

Way better than I thought it would be. I would give ST 2 a 2/10 (boobies give it a 2), so I was really impressed with this one in comparison to number 2. Not even close to as good as the first, but still a decent B movie. I thought it pretty funny the way they snuck not 1, not 2, but 3 (!!!!) pairs of boobies into the movie with about 5-10 min left. Good job guys, I knew there was a reason for them being called B movies.

This was a damn good movie. It had suspense in the right place and a great story buildup. I can't give it top honors because it never gave me the "woah this is so good" giddy feeling, but I definitely recommend it as one of the best heist movies in a while. Lots of boobies in it too!

I had to see Robert Downey Jr but was not as happy as I wanted to be. It did have quite a few hilarious moments but, for me, it was mostly mindless crude humor. It could be viewed as trying to make a statement or two, but I don't see it that way. I think it could've been a lot better.

Wasn't mindless and i didn't get back to bed until early this morning. I wasn't expecting much hadn't heard anything. Very well done with a damn good sound track to boot.

It's weird. I watch movies all the time that people seem to love, I watch them and end up either thinking "Meh" or "Gez, really?" I had several folks tell me how great Hellboy II was, I turned it off. Would rather mow my lawn then watch that. I have a friend who's always getting me to watch stuff with subtitles or "symbolism" type "plots." You know the type- "the butterfly at the end symbolized his acceptance of his loss." Umm, ok if you say so.

But in regards to The Bank Job itself. Might not be the type of flick to watch drunk. Also might be better if you have a real firm grasp of what the late 60's early 70's were like.

Then again, maybe it's just not your type of flick.

Pretty bad all around. The acting was downright hilarious! Mr. Randy C sounded like he was reading the script from a teleprompter! If you like B movies I recommend this one, if not then stay the hell away from it! The best parts were the hideous acting, and the heroin of it was smoking hot as well.

For all you wondering why I have this huge influx of B movies pouring in, well, the explanation is simple: I am on holidays visiting my brother and we both love our B movies! So expect lots of B movies on the way!

Bad idea.

Ah, I give it an 8.5, so we're opposite. I think everyone did a good job and there were some clever lines. I don't even usually like excessive pot humour and it boggles my mind how some people can literally laugh everytime pot is mentioned in a movie, but this flick did a good job. Saul was an incredible character. Some of the jokes do fall flat, but it's a comedy so I don't expect every single joke to work. I'm not sure I've ever seen a comedy that has worked flawlessly.

Not saying this is classic comedy but I actually like it more than Knocked Up and Superbad. Forgetting Sarah Marshall and The 40 Year Old Virgin are better.

But yeah, that's the last movie I saw.

Pretty Village, Pretty Flame - 9/10

One of my new favorites. While it took some time to really get rolling, the end result is just breath-taking and epic. The majority of the film takes place in either a hospital room or a cave, but they still amount to some of the best and most gripping. Memorable characters, fantastic script, and solid direction combined with a strangely new wave approach involving lots of music and a few quirky editing techniques make this a must-see.

I'm Not There - 8/10

Great movie. It was really interesting how all the little things taken together show different aspects of Dylan as he's shown himself to the public over the years.

It was kind of like an autobiography, only instead of telling Dylan's story, it told you his soul. That makes it abstract in parts, but the different characters still pull you in to be involved in each scene, even if you can't tell what the scene is trying to tell you at the time. Also, Cate Blanchett is incredible in this film as the portrayal of Dylan's electric/amphetamine fueled stage of his career.

Also, all the little references were great...and as I'm not a Dylanophile, I probably caught 1 in 3 of them, if that.

Just saw the Dark Knight today--10/10. It was nonstop, never lost my attention for a second, and that says a lot. Well-acted by everyone involved--amazing performance by Heath Ledger; he disappears into the Joker so far that you forget that it's him up there. Really, really enjoyed it!

Read the books. They were great. The movie was uninspired. It seemed like an animated version of the books for those who can't be bothered to read graphic novels.

Tropic Thunder - 6, or so

The movie was ok..........
But, the Les Grossman character was phenomenol. I have never seen this actor truly perform before. This was a moment. In fact, I never considered him an actor until this film.
