George of the Jungle 2 -- 0.5/5
The worst god damn movie I've ever had the displeasure of watching. I would rather saw off my cock with a butterknife. (I watched it cause I was babysitting my girlfriends baby brother and sister with her, and they were diggin it.)

The Duplex - 4.2/5 A movie I didn't expect much from, it brought me plenty of laughs and taught me that there are times when it's okay to hate old women.

Scarface - 6/10
Overhyped by today's "thug" culture. Overall not a terrible movie, but definitely too long....would've been better at or under 2 hours, but at 2 hours, 50 minutes, it was stretching it. Finding the comparisons to GTA: Vice City got me through most of it...

Apocalypse Now Redux - 7/10
I had never seen the original, so I guess I couldn't say much as to the added scenes, but overall, the movie was way to long, grinding to a halt at the French Plantation. I understand that for psychological effect, the trip up the river has to feel long and boring, but at times it was, well, long and boring. Martin Sheen and Marlon Brando were great, as was Robert Duvall as Kilgore. A super young Laurence Fishburne was also good. I never like the book "Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad, so I'm not surprised that a movie based on it didn't rank up there in my top movies of all time.

The Goonies - a theater just had a midnight showing last weekend. Great to see it on the big screen once again.
Harry and the Hendersons gets its own sitcom while Chunk and Sloth go unrecognized? Where is the justice? 9/10

Signs- 6/10 The story was really hard to believe. I feel that the writer/director almost knew that the story was weak, but they focused on making the audience jump. For this sake, it was good, so I give it a 6. I'd like to see it in surround sound though, I bet it would have been a better experience.
Blue Velvet- 8/10....so far. I'm yet to finish it, but what a trippy movie. I've probably got 20 minutes left and it's just nuts.

Kill Bill Volume 2. I liked the 1st one alot more! I know i shouldnt be compairing them but it's a continuous story... too much talking and stupid parts, not enough action and comedy like in the 1st. I'll give it a 70%.
Will have to see it again to be sure... But i can only recomend it to those who saw the 1st movie and want to know the end.(as if u didnt know allready!)

Van Helsing. Bit frantic trying to keep everything together in the story. Good special effects. Lots of story. Hugh Jackman is now established for me as a damn good action hero.
7.5/10

Just finished "Lost in Translation" with Bill Murray (who I thought for about an hour - untill my boyfriend set me straight - was Jack Nicholson). So, that was the biggest waste of time ever. If someone wants to explain it to me, then they can. But, it started off slow, then with no real ending. No wrap up. Those artsy type ppl are gonna love it.

Man on Fire: 4.5 out of 5
I was really afraid this movie was going to suck. I really didn't want it to, and luckily, it didn't. It rocked, actually. Denzel put on another amazing performance, in fact, all acting was great. Dakota Fanning does an amazing job, she's going to have a bright future if she continues to pursue acting. It's hard to believe she isn't even 10. It just missed a 5 imo because it started to drag right before the end. It was also a tad on the predictable side. It wasn't so predictable that you were 100% sure of what was going to happen though.

Something's Gotta Give: 10/10
Hilarious...Jack Nicholson had me lmao. Great movie, and it wasn't cheesy. Mona Lisa Smile: 8.5/10 It was good. I'm not too big on a lot of chick-flicks (and I'm a chick). I enjoyed Julia Roberts, of course. It was interesting, but I wouldn't buy it. |

Running Time
It's a little obscure so I'll give you a short snippet of what its about. Running Time was filmed in black and white, in real time, and seemingly takes place in one continuous, fluid shot. Bruce Campbell is god, so I give it 5/5 for novelty, and having Bruce

5/10 the awsome war scene barely helped this movie from burning in hell. I can't help but think "OMFG! they bite off the war scene from Two Towers, those assholes!!!" any one else think so?

"Girl with a Pearl Earring."
Scarlet Johansson is so talented and amazing in this. Too bad that the book was 10 times better (as often the case). Interesting view of the Flemish school of painters using the 'camera obscure' and slice of life in another typically caste system. Needed some 'bump' if you know what I mean and I think you do.... Historically to those of us with fine art degrees, at least it had a taste of the period and insights worthy of study about paints and subjects. Give me the "Red Violin" instead though. Quite impressive and edgey. With a haunting sound track.

The Warriors:
Ol' School (1979) gang movie that takes place in new york. It's like watching any of those 80's beat-em-up's like Double Dragon in movie form. There's more and better fro's in that movie than any movie made in the past 25 years. 6/10 for the excessively bad acting though. |

10x better in the theater. Still an awesome movie. The Cooler 7/10 Good movie, albeit a little weird at time. Maria Bello is too fine.
