Sopranos: will there be a 6th season?
Someone told me that definitely one of my all-time favourite shows, The Sopranos, will get a sixth season after all. For the longest time I had thought that the fifth would be their last, but apparently Gandolfini has agreed to do two more years. The sixth season presumably only being 10 eps long, plus a special dream episode (don't you hate those dream eps? ).
It's been a brilliant show for the four past seasons. I hope they can keep the quality up.

Yes, that is correct. I remember reading an article back in June. It basically stated that David Chase had agreed to do a sixth season with 10 episodes. As for Gandolfini, I don't think he had anything to do with it technically. There was the point where the fifth season stopped production due to his contract disputes, but that was later resolved. The main thing was getting Chase to agree to another season because when he first started the show he said he'd only do five seasons, in order to ensure that the series wouldn't lose its luster.

They're gonna need about five more seasons to tie up all the loose ends they have throughout the episodes of the last couple of years.
Unless it gets better in the first couple of episodes this coming season I won't be sticking around to watch any others. Most of the more recent ones have been pretty much anticlimactic for me. It was a very original and interesting show, now it's not nearly as enthralling.
