http://ropeofsilicon.com/reviewarticle.php?varRevID=195
The Bourne Supremacy Starring: Matt Damon , Franka Potente , Karl Urban Director: Paul Greengrass Studio: Universal Pictures Rating: N/A Theater Release: Jul 23, 2004 Matt Damon willl reprise his role as Jason Bourne, a man on a search to find out his real identity as he evades the CIA and assassins. In the sequel, a Chinese vice-premier has been slain by the legendary assassin Jason Bourne. Of course, there is no Jason Bourne. The identity is simply a cover for the CIA's David Webb. But with someone else assuming the Bourne identity, the U.S. must find a way to avert a international diplomatic scandal that imperils Sino-American peace. http://www.darkhorizons.com/news.htm The Bourne Supremacy: The Hollywood Reporter indicates Eomer himself Karl Urban ("Lord of the Rings", "Ghost Ship", TV's "Xena") has been cast as Matt Damon's nemesis in the 'Identity' sequel. Shooting begins shortly. |

Interesting. Matt Damon's Bourne Identity was a really enjoyable movie. I thought the story was really solid as well.
Anyone see the original? Bourne Identity

Yeah I have the original on DVD, one of my fav movies. I cant wait until the new movie comes out. If it half as good as the first it will be worth a trip to the movies.
Matt Damon is such a good actor, he can play such a wide range of roles.

hate to be the book-was-better-than-the-movie guy, but i thought "the bourne identity" was the epitomy of this. i thought the cast and direction was fine, but they really dropped all the interesting subplots (and MAIN plot) from the novel. and that final jump off the stairwell, shoot guy, and land on a body was a damn anticlmactic end! if you liked the movie, though, do check out the novel(s).

I agree with "The Book was Better" opinion... I read all three novels and was shocked when Matt Affleck Was cast ast Bourne... he is just too prissy....
that said I enjoyed the movie from a pure action flick point of view.... so I'll probably see the sequel DB |

Actually isn't this supposed to be a trilogy? I thought there was going to be three of them. There's nothing quite as cool as seeing Matt Damon play something other that a "gay serial killer who plays golf and rides horses." And Franka Potente always gets my votes....

Great movie, I'll have to check out the original. Yeah, I think it is a trilogy. It was hard for me to look at Damon as a action guy, he did pretty good in the movie.

Yeah it was a good movie and I will definitely see the sequel. Another spy book that just begs to be made into a movie is The Brotherhood of the Rose. If you haven't read it go buy it today!
